    difference between wow and perfect world is that blizzard is a huge gaming company, they hire the best people in the field, they got the money to backup all their project. heck they threw away millions on starcraft ghost and scrapped it just because they dont like it. not to mention, u pay money for playing, they are making millions or maybe billions per month just from WoW's month fee from everyone

    2nd thing is, are u talking about emergency maintenance or just regular? because u never know how long it take for emergency since u cant tell what kind it will be.

    yes there is a backup! every time server goes down for maintenance, everything is copied to another pc or tape. if there is a rollback, we'll be rolled back to the exact moment the server went down to update to version 77.
