PK while other players attacks a mob..

The other day I saw someone white killing mobs around my level. I was white too, and I figured he should be around my level cause of the mobs.
So when he was attacking a mob (he was a bm) I attacked him. Because he had a charm, I was not able to kill him, so he grabbed his sword and he flew away.
I chased him a bit, but he found a save zone and stayed their. Then he said to me I was a noob because I attacked him while he was attacking a mob. I told him that he chose to turn pk on, and I had every right to attack him.
But he told me it was unfair and weak I attacked him this way. I did not feel nice when he said that.

Was he right? Was it weak of me? Or was it okay that I attacked him, because he CHOSE to be in PK mode?

    i would not worry about it, seems like normal, i mean, isnt that what PK mode is all about, if you can use any trick in the book go for it, hide behind a tree, and sneak up on m, use an invisibility cloak or some stun etc... backstab m, nuke etc.. dont worry b:laugh

    On PvE server even my rules of don't attack from behind do not apply. This is beacause you have a choice to go into pk mode on a non pk server. Anything goes.

    I'm no PvP expert, but I do know there is a lot of thread focused on the debate of "PvP etiquette" and whether or not such a thing exisits.

    My personal feeling: You are on Sanctuary. PK is limited enough as it is, so if they *choose* to go white, then it's fair game. People may disagree with me but in the end, my opinion doesn't matter at all cuz i'm blue =)

    I know I have the right to attack him. However when he said I was a wimb and a weak that I did that, I didn't knew anything to say back... And I coudnt say 'Go outside, 1v1 to see who is the best' cause he had a charm and I didnt.

    If you went PK mode on a PvE server. You got only two choices, you want to get pk'ed OR you want to pk someone.

    There are absolutely no rules of engagement when PKing.

    It's not a duel.
    It's not a sparring match.

    It's stalking and killing your prey in order to score a kill and steal whatever he drops.

    "Fair play" is the excuse of weaklings.

    And AFK really means A FREE KILL, go for it if your prey is asleep.

    I once killed a player while they were fighting a boss.... big deal, they knew the risks when they decided to turn on PK mode.

    LOL that afk thing is funny but true you afk not in safe zone and pp mode on you just waiting to get pvpedb:cute

    He's in PvP mode, he's asking to get killed. And of course it's pk. The goal is to kill the other player. If they're dead you win, if you die they win, if no one dies it's a draw. That's it.
    You can attack them while they're not paying attention, they can run to a safe zone or call for friends, etc. Anything that's not a bannable offence goes pretty much.

    If you're on a PVE server, any player in PK mode is fair game to be PKed no matter what they're doing. All prospected PKers should know this; take precautions for all circumstances or leave your PK button alone.

    Wait I mean.....GO TURN PK MODE ON! Look, your quest mobs are behind you.....*takes aim*

    Eh, it would be his fault for going into pk mode...I mean unless he was testing it out there's kinda no reason for him to call you a noob for trying to kill him. You have every right to kill someone if they're in pk mode XP

    They did, after all, make pking a choice and not mandatory :3

    His in PK mode everyone agrees he deserves to die but In my opinion if he was helping his friend with a quest (which I don't think he was) then I would be sad if you killed him

    Anything is fair game. Specially on a PvE server where PK mode is optional.

    In fact, I would recommend that you be as conniving, underhanded, dirty, lame and ruthless as possible.

    You get bonus style points if your victim cries afterwards.
    Everyone here is ridiculously oversensitive.

    If I could imagine some way I could feel good about myself when I PvP people, I would probably level myself up on lost city, instead of spending my time elsewhere.

    There are two main rules that I think everyone can agree on when it comes to PKing...

    1.) Do not go around killing players way below your level. If you are level 80 and a level 40 player is near you in PK mode, don't be an D-Bag. You can, however, tell him to get lost if he is bothering you, or if he is being a noob or KSing, then by all means destory him.

    2.) Do not kill players who are fighting a boss or tanking a boss. Even in the PvE servers, sometimes I get called or a friend gets called to help some other friends with a boss before my 30 hours are up. You don't want to be fighting Chin when someone comes along and PK's your tank or cleric. Its just common decency. For example, in the real world in America you are legally allowed to swear your head off in public, but it is considered improper. At least wait until after the boss dies then gank him ^_^

    Dusnt matter wat server u play a kill is a kill simple.

    If he is fighting a mob a boss or is afk its a game u make the rulez.

    And best of all if its 2 vs 1 or even 100 vs 1 let them QQ about it u win gd gd



    Ooo and as for lv range only lvs i dont pk are under lv30 1s they go white u can kill them its funny as hell 1 shot poeple and veno's cant do that 2 often =p
    Ooo I know lets roll pvp server so i can QQ about pking...

    I don't know about this. I usually follow these rules on most occasions.

    But I do believe, especially on Sanctuary where PvP is a choice, that if you go PK you should expect to be wasted by every one else. Don't expect fairness in PvP because as a previous poster said it is not a duel or sparring - its killing. If you want to carebear it up then just go duel people but hanging around grinding in white means you're just asking for a good beating.

    If you don't want to be bothered, go blue.

    This may seem like a noob thing to do to some ppl, killing someone while they r atkin a mob

    But if u choose to pk like this then dont feel bad about it, after all this is a pvp server.

    Some, most i think, will dislike u if u do so, but do as you pleaseb

    There was definately nothing wrong with that of course. I don't understand why you let what he said hurt you. People take PvP personally sometimes, but most people should just play like you and know it is part of the game. That is how I play, and I hope most others do too.

    (He especially shouldn't have gotten mad since he had the choice to PvP or not. 0_o)

    The only reason I can see this as a weak and or rude thing to do is because you can kill someone while they are attacking a mob, but if the mob gets in the last hit and kills them they could lose EXP over it.
    Also, since the mob has already done damage that's waiting until they are weakened, or can be vewed as such. Even if they turn their PK mode on, it's still a cheap move to go after someone when they are attacking a mob. It always will be no matter how much people kick and scream that it's fair.

    Edit: It's the same concept as level 60+ being too chickensh** to fight their own level, and instead standing in an FB and PKing people 30 levels lower than them to feel big again. Just to make my point clear. Bt at least that doesn't cost exp. XD
