Hp charm

Ok, so I know I get my moneys worth from gold mp charm, as I'm down to 760k left on it and if already made 150k back, so I'm not worried that I'm losing money in the long run. But what about hp charms? are they worth it at my lvl or should I wait a bit? I am fine right now with using pots I get from drops and morning dew lvl 1 heals me about 25% of my health. Does it make grinding that much easier when you don't have to worry about healing and can just go from enemy to enemy with out breaks for healing? Or is it a money sink just used for TW and PvP? Oh and if it is worth it, how long does the gold charm last you?

Also I'm planning on doing PvP later, I'm just worrying about getting a higher lvl and upgrading my skills at the moment.

I think HP charms are a lot more worth it then MP charms. They seem to last me a long time but i can't be more specific since tw each week interrupts the use, and i am in Rq so i get ganked a lot. But I could use a whole MP charm in 2 days (no i am not as careful about it as some) and an HP charm could last well over a week(yes i am careful about its use) getting rid of the other factors

We have self heal so when i am close to charm tick and i am not fighting i recover my hp with it, saves a lot of charm unless its an emergency. I deal with my MP by always start fighting mobs with max mana and wellspring. At the moment i have over 10k mana to start on mobs. On average i would say 4 to 5 spells to kill a mob, and i do it rather patiently. I use sutra every chance i get to recover 1000mp so i can grind for a longer session. And i sit and regen after about 15-20 mobs when it goes to 0.

I look at it this way. Probably takes me 15 more min then a mp charm user to kill 75 mobs, however i spent 0 on a charm. I stack pots from drops so i rarely buy them from an npc, i always have so hp/mp pots for an emergency, dont need many. So the worst thing that happens to you if your mana is gone is you find a safe spot and recover. Worst thing that happens to you when your hp is 0 is "ANY CLERICS NEAR SWAMP PLEASE?"

Using one of the two though, like many have said, you can make the money to cover the cost fairly easy. Using both at the same time i find difficult to manage both and in the end up being negative money (now you spent 800k instead of 400k) My two cents

    I can't stand not having both ;P
I can handle not having an HP hiero simply because I have my own personal cleric, but MP? No way. And even with a cleric I still opt to have a hp hiero simply cause of the mass pvp I do on a daily basis.

After I hit demon, I'll probably never need a mp charm again, but hp charms come in handy. So I'll only need 1 (demon spark eruption + sutra + pots that I find from mobs) and I've actually gotten a single hp charm to last 3 tws and grinding once (horrah **** HP, lol)

I know what you both mean.

VonTerror I did exactly what you did, I would kill until mana was out then I would rest up. I did that up until around lvl 49. I Then got a bronze mp charm to test it out, and its doubled my grinding speed, which gets me more lvls.

And to Amour, I also don't think after using this charm for the past few lvls that I could ever not go with out my mp charm.

From reading both your posts I may hold off on the charm until I can get a factor guild interested in me b:victory but I doubt that will happen for a very long time. Thanks for the responses.

You really have to grind that much on 53? I am 58 and I only had to grind much 2 times: lvl 47 and lvl 50. The other levels I had enough quests, did crazy stone and had to grind not more then 10 - 15 %.
You should figure what do you get when using a charm?
HP charm = More exp (you'll die less). That's the only thing you get, because we have a heal so you won't get much more time with it.
MP charm = More time. No resting, so you can kill non-stop, so you will get MUCH more time. If you're short on time, buy one. If you have alot of time and don't mind it takes longer to kill some mob, don't get it.

I grind for money. :D Can never get enough of the stuff. xP

That and I goofed off too much in my lower levels, like trying to rush krixxix at level 19, and so on, so I lost a lot of exp from quest there, but I went a few levels only grinding, so I got a lot of quest to catch me back up.

Yes, good points Celiaz. To clarify, if i had a lot more money i wouldn't hesitate to use both charms. And i am not really a PvE player though due to lack of funds i have been lately. I spent countless cash on dolls, stones, eq, weap, etc so now its at a point where i have to pick one of the two. HP useful for PvP, almost a need at 60+, MP useless at PvP, so i chose HP

They can save you when you get into a sticky situation, so definitely worth it.

Wellspring Quaff lvl 10 an magc around 300 gives me almost 13k mana at lvl 81. I dont need mana charms, unless im fighting somthing like Sliit. I can maintain my mana on a boss with my double spark erruption. Yan the traitor, Silverfrost ect (Long battles) an possibly use about 3 or 4 mana potions.
HP charms on the other hand i've found invaluable. But I never touched a charm untill 64th level. I learned too fight smart and its payed off.

If your running low on mana very quickly its quite possible that you've over developed a skill. Wait till you levelled abit an keep plugging away. Wizzie is a great class keep at it.
