How many people play this game?

Just curious, at first I was naive and guessed like 500,000 per server, but now I am more inclined to think there is 50,000 people per server, with only about 10,000 on at any given time.

Any sites to show the flow of traffic/people logged in? Any way to get some real numbers here?

    lol, is it really ok that your name is "nigrosity"? I'm down with the n-word when it's used in the right way, but I'm surprised you get away with that in an all-ages game.

    are you counting actual players are all the dual accounts running as shops thats going on?

    Ok let me get this straight. As of right now, World of Warcraft is currently the largest and most successful MMORPG out there and has just reached a level of 12 million subscribers. Aryannamage, is 50 million just a typo or is there something that can back up that number?

    I'm sure 50 million is just the number of accounts. I actually doubt WoW has 12 million individual people (I used to be one of them), they just have 12 million subscriptions. I knew several people that had multiple accounts.

    1) The mod said 'worldwide', so that's at least 3 different verions of PW- not just the PWI that we play.

    2) 50 milion 'people'? Haha...no...maybe 50 mil accounts made, but not people like Daerys said.
