the popularity of cleric

are clerics VERY popular? I want to be a class that is not very common, yet not too weak. How popular is comrpared to other classes. HOw about a full int attack cleric?

    Um, I haven't noticed one class out numbering other classes. Just play what you want to play as.

    It's true that the class populations are fairly balanced, however, there does seem to still be a popularity ranking from my observations, and clerics are definitely not an underplayed class like in other games. I'd say Archer, BM and Cleric are the most popular classes, with venomancer being close behind, barbarian being slightly less common, and wizard being extremely rare.

    If you want to play a class that everyone generally avoids, go with wiz. But just be warned that there are reasons people don't play wizard. It's not that it's incredibly weak, but it is more difficult to pvp with, and there are some people who believe it is "the worst class". I'm not sure if I believe that however.

    Also, if you choose cleric, don't go full attack cleric. Be full int if you like, that's what I'm doing, but refusing to support will not make you many friends. :P
    There are quite a few people claiming to be FACs, and they are generally disliked by everyone. It's VERY hard to get a high level group to take a cleric as a damage dealer.

    Overall, just choose what you want to be. PvP is more balanced in this game than almost any other game you will find, including some of the more popular american ones.
    There are no sucky classes, and no overpowered classes.

    There isn't one class that you rarely see. I see all classes regularly so I don't think there is a "rare" class.

    That being said clerics are excellent if you want to be wanted by everyone. If your going for the least played class, that might be a wizard, because of their lo survivability.

    He's not just asking for classes he's asking for rare builds too. Well if you want to be unique you could make a Heavy Armor Cleric, put all your points into STR and DEX and use dual-axes. I'd say you'd be pretty unique then b:chuckle

    Im with fleuri.
    Because on sanctuary, for EACH cleric/archer/barbarian/wizard/blademaster, you have 3 venos.

    The rarest class by far is wizard, they have just too many drawbacks, Wizards become strong enough to be fun with at 50+ but they end up even 2 hitting people on PvP.

    I'd say Clerics are of medium popularity and frequency.

    The more uncommon classes are probably wizard and barbarian.

    depends what kind of player you are. I am a cleric who never gets into groups (support) and when i do i never see barbs.

    Yeah I really don't see any one popular class; so I guess it really depends on what you job you want to do. Clerics I think are prob more popular in factions, TW, or squads just because they're are support class and the more you have in a group the least likely the group is going to fail in a fighting situation.

    I will say this about clerics although they have good attacks; most of time they arn't really that involved in fights. They mainly make sure everyone is alive and kicken. So really if you want to stay back and support everyone then clerics is obviously the class for you. However just because your staying back and supporting everyone doesn't you can sit back and relax, you really have watchout and keep on top of a lot of things.

    I'd actually say Cleric is quite the popular class - easy to level, easy to get into squads, easy everything pretty much. It's a good class to begin the game with and an easy one to level with, almost as much as Venomancers.

    I'd have to say, along side archers, cleric is the most popular class. Look at the high scores, we're the leading class.

    From what I've heard and a little of what I've seen(I live in the lost and forgotten corners on PW) the most popular classes are
    Veno easy solo class
    Archer close behind. Good for PvP
    Cleric and BM. Not sure which is higher
    Barb. Not many want to be a shield
    Wizard. Called "Glass Cannons" for a reason. Same reason most quit and there are fewer high levels.

    In my experience Clerics are highly versatile. They have good attacks, both magical and physical (ranged), heals and debuffs. I have played as a full Int Cleric, I've leveld my attacks most of all but also some heals, as a Cleric one must fully exploit ones abilites for maximum efficiency. Its not advisable to be complete full attack since there is a need for support but since Clerics have good attacks they should be developed considerably to get the most out of you class. Clerics have a lot of potential in this game, being able to do great damage, heal well and debuff others.

    The most uncommon class I have seen would be the wizard. I have a wizard character as well and I love the class. Its very fun to play and the skills are very powerful. Some drawbacks on the wizard are that they only have magical attacks (except for one phisical at very high levels), high casting time, and low survivability because of bad phisical defence. Wizard skills are very strong and many are AoE that inflict damage to multiple targets. But the wizard dosent have so much versatility as a cleric since most skills are plain attacks.

    The second most uncommon class I would say is the Barbarian. I didnt like being one of those, in my experience the class was hard to level. Since Barbarians are "tanks" their job is to hold aggro and have a lot of defence. Something cool about them is that you can turn into a white tiger to use a new set of skills.

    There's a reason the wizard is known as a gimp, it's your no-defense route. It's a fun class that raises a lot of hell for everybody else, you should be happy to be something so unique.

    will I always say classes are the game diffculty levels like in console games I presonally tried all other classes cleric being one of them I liked cleric but at 30+ it got way too easy same with other classes I like the challenge of it and being the rarest class in game is diff an up side I mean just take a walk in west archo and count the number of wizards above 70 there tell me if you count even 10 max then again count other classes and compare yes I am proud of being unique although a bet hard to find a party for me unlike clerics but still its alot of fun and alot more challenging...

    Barbs are not so bad , belive me they are pretty powerful and with the tiger speed ...

    no one said barbs are bad , just difficult to lvl ..... i ws gonna make a bb myself but after lv 14 i quit ...... its like boring . U just go and hit the mob plain nthing special ........i barely died ... maybe at higher lvls and well all i ws doing ws clicking on mon and hitting ..... i also hated the different set fr tiger mainly coz i had to constantly switch to actually use my skills , here is no lvling pt at low lvls ... so tanking aint possible ...... i dont have to run fr my life ..... [pretty much class fr lazy ppl] all i ws doing ws spamming ripping bite .... and in pvp maybe i d spam the cast breaker thingy .... but it ws just boring ... to much pawange in pve and well no versitality on pvp .
