Any guidance regarding the weapons for dual blade/sword?

I opened a previous tread about it but I could not get the answer. My question is:

If we get dual blades on a particular level. Later on the next level, I get dual swords available. Therefore, I immediately upgrade since I think is a better weapon. Later, I will wait 2 more levels to upgrade again to dual blades. Since the next to levels are either for single blade or single sword (which I think are supposed to be better than the dual ones)

My problem is that I will keep those dual swords for the current level and the next two since the next two levels the weapons I have available are single swords or blades.

I’m thinking to upgrade the weapon by adding those stones on the sockets but I still don’t how to do that or how really efficient would it be if you cannot recover the stones to use them again.

How do you guys do it?

First, at your current level, I wouldn't waste my money putting shards in the sockets. And no, once you put them in, you can't get them back out to re-use them.

Second, I too preferred to use dual swords but once you hit level 60, you will be using a single sword from that point forwards should you choose to stay on the sword path. While there is a dual sword HH weapon, by choosing it, you will be eliminating the possibility of getting the highest level sword in the game.

My advice, go ahead and get used to using the single sword if you are going to choose the sword path.

Thats too bad since I like to use double sword (for looks more than anything). b:cry

I will upgrade to next available weapon everytime from now on in every level.

I heard something like this last weekend but still could not understand.

A friend told me he started using a weapon at lower levels that would last him at least 10 levels since the weapons on those future levels would not be as good as that one.

Ok, how do I get and use a weapon like that?

Starting at level 60 you can get materials to make weapons that have very good stats by running through the Twilight Temple dungeon (abbreviated as TT or HH based on its name in an earlier version of the game). These are the green glowing weapons you see most higher level people running around Archosaur with. These weapons have more limited choices available every 10 levels . There is, for example, only one TT60 weapon in the sword class and it is a single sword.

The gold glowing weapons are even better than the green. These are made from molds found mostly in FBs as a rare drop. These legendary weapons can be bought from the auction house where the TT weapons usually cannot (because you generally decompose one level of TT weapon to make the key ingredient for the next one). They are even more spread out in levels for each type of weapon.

Because the TT and legendary weapons are so much better, you will want to use the one of these suitable for your skill tree choice. So, from 60 on, you no longer have a question of what type of sword to use (other than when you get a choice of two TT weapon paths, but forget that now)

This might have been a legendary weapon. Check the auction house under the filter "weapons." At the bottom of the list there will be a category for "legendary." Pick that to see what people are selling. Since the drops are rare, though, expect to pay a chunk of coins even for a weapon that is minimum level 30.

Or, your friend might have been referring to the fact that stats for a decent blade (2-star, say) might be better than anything he was seeing for the next tier dual swords. You don't need to upgrade every time something new is available. You will go needlessly broke trying to do that. Upgrading once or twice in a 10-level span is reasonable. I tended to go dual blades and then blade so I was upgrading about every 5 levels but only if I had something good to move up to.

Thanks for the repply, I will follow this advice.

Being honest, I don't like the idea of my character using a single sword (it would not be same character anymore), but if the difference in power between the ultimate single sword and the ultimate double sword is too big. I will do the change.

Saying that, I'd like to make an educated decision on that matter. Can you let me know the names of these two weapons and the difference in power?

Go check this site and click on the swords. It will show you all the "upper level" swords (other than the warsoul weapons), thier stats, and what weapons is required to make the next higher weapon.

    Ok, What means the following:

Critical +X% (I will ignore this stat since the weapons are close on this one)
    Hit+ X% (I think increase your hits by X%)
    HP+ X (I think increase your HP by X)
Dex+X (I think increase your Dex by X)
Con+X (I think increase your con by X)
Attack +X (I think increase your Dex by X)
STR+X (I think increase your STR by X)

I'm assuming hit and damage if not the same are really related to each other by add on factors that should still allow this comparison be correct. I'll call that factor "X", I hope somebody can clarity this.

"Dragon sealing sword" the damage is more upper consistance and between 831-1124, while "umparalell blade" is less consistante between 634-1178.

However, If I'm understanding properly even though the damage is lower on umparalleled will add 30% on your hits (hit+30%) while Dragon will add 0%.

634*1.3*X=824.2X. Compared to 831 from Dragon
1178*1.3*X=1531X compared to 1124 from Dragon

If we consider that Umparalleled will add 15 points to STR, the damage diference will grow even more (and defence improves too I think).

However, since Dragon will add 15 points to my dex, I will miss less than than with umparalleled and my damage will be more consistant.

At the same time Dragon will add 15 points on CON while the other one does not do it. Therefore, Dragon will allow you take more damage.

In other words Dragon is a more consistant accurate weapon, while Umparalleled is way more powerfull but less consistant and less accurate.

I think umparalled is better but I will use Dragon more for looks and because the difference is not too huge.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong on anything here.

Well according to pw database the hit thing is the same as accuracy. So having unparalleled just makes it pretty much impossible for you to miss by increasing your accuracy by 30%. You would have around 2k accuracy when equiped with that.
