Catching Flying Creatures?

I see everyone talking about the petite sawfly for a venomancer pet, but how does my lvl 15 venomancer attack a flying creature? I've tried with my bow, but nothing happens. How am I supposed to catch the sawfly?

    You catch one by going to the Veno trainer at City of the Lost and buying one from one of the catshops that infest the area. Don't spend more than 2k. It's that or wait until 30.

    you should have wings or to climb very high to be near the monster that you wnt to kill.

    Some of the sawflies venture low enough that you can cast spells on them from the ground. There are also buildings and/or towers in their area (near Bamboo Village) that you can climb up on to get closer. You can definitely grab one yourself, without using a bow, and without the ability to fly.

    Renara is right. I caught 2 Sawflies without flying or climbing. Just look around a bit to find one that is in range for your spells. It wasn't hard to find them. Unfortunately I don't have the one anymore that I caught first. I would have given it to you. But you should be able to get one yourself without problems.

    I've catched mine using buildings in the area. You can also get an Elf to lure one of them close to you.

    In the elf area you can find sawflys that hover around these sentry towers. I've jumped up on the towers, and then been able to attack the flys.

    When you get a little higher, you can get a flying mount, and then it's easy. b:laugh

    Find one close enough to the ground, aggro it, then tame. Presto.

    It's how I got my sawfly on my veno.
