I think he covered it b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]Without courage, wisdom bears no fruit.0 -
Not quite..."the best" is far too broad. Read the stickied guide...they are there for a reason. Axe has the most AoEs, so they have the potential to do the most damage in TWs. Axe is also the fastest solo leveler past 60.
Pole is better than Sword at 1v1. Pole can also AoE train, though not quite as good as Axe. Fists are only strong in PvE very late game with very good gear. Fists do not perform well in TW/PK because you need spike damage in order to beat out hieros, and fist is unable to do this. Sword suffers from mediocrity, it is not as good at 1v1 or AoE as either Pole or Axe.0 -
pve: axe/hammer
pvp: pole
b:thanks for me.0 -
I like fist cuz they glow and when you do regular melee you can do kicks and stuff. Otherwise I'd go with either sword or axe/hammer0

I don't recomend doing a build just because they look shiny.. If it suits you go for it. Otherwise you might end up with the other choices b:victory0 -
I went fists/claws and Im pretty happy with it^_^0

Read the stickied guide...they [stickied guides?] are there for a reason.....Sword suffers from mediocrity, it is not as good at 1v1 or AoE as either Pole or Axe.
Yes, the sticky is merited, but for the substance rather than the opinions of that guide. One should be careful to distinguish facts from opinions generally. However, since the OP in this thread was asking for opinions, I'll share my impression that sword is actually more efficient than pole at 1v1 grinding because you should be doing your regular grinding (including x-mob quests) with a minimum of skills. The DPS of swords in normal attacks is higher than comparable pole weapons. Beyond that, well, sword and pole are both weapon trees that highlight the class's emphasis on variety rather than specialization (good at a lot of things, best at none) while axe has an AOE-centric skill tree that makes its optimal grinding and TW use a bit more specialized. That makes the "advantages" of axe easier to state and they have been stated often for whatever that is worth. Fists, well, I don't understand fists, so no comment on them.0 -

I think swords/blades are the best alrounder~~ good for pvp and pve0

Axe and Hammer has more aoe skills for a BM. Good to aoe the heck on everyone in TW. Better than attacking one by one.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
