    Yeah. I have no trouble whatsoever running this on vista.

    Same here. Just to make sure though, I gave C:\Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International full control by users, so that the program can write to it's directory:


    Go to C:\Program Files
    Make a folder called Perfect World Entertainment
    Open that folder
    Make a new folder called Perfect World International
    Right click on "Perfect World International" and click properties
    Go to the security tab (edit: you might have to click through an Administrator privileges dialog box here)
    Press "Edit" next to where it says "To change permissions, click Edit"
    Select "Users (...\Users)"
    Check "Full Control" under allow
    Press "Apply"
    *Then install the game*

    (This might not be necessary, but if things don't work, try it.)

    Also, a warning box pops up every time I start the game, you just have to click allow.

    Ican't seem to play this game on Vista and altough i have tried several different types of downloads and installs, I can't get any thing to work... I can get to the start screen launcer, however after I click START I get a black screen flash, then NOTHING! It just doesn't work after that and the game seems to shut it's self off. Can anyone give me a clean walk through?

    Have you tried changing the security per my above post? (after installation should be fine, as long as installation worked)

    i bet you 9/10 you have a std budget pc with really bad onboard graphics. Goto a computer store and ask them to install you a cheap 3d video card and it should run just fine.

    Yes this game works on vista as iam using vista to play the game on my laptop....b:pleased

    Runs just fine on my machine with Vista. Installed just fine too.
    If the above fixes don't help. Might be worth a try to do something easy.

    Right click the icon and select (run as administrator)

    I play with Vista professional and there is any problem.
    But... we know... there is always some but with our windows.....

    Try this:

    Right click on Perfect world icon:
    properties
    compatibility
    run program as "windows xp (service pack2)

    Lets we know if it's all ok.

    Try veryfying your account!! I play with Windows Vista (Service pack 2) and everything runs great!!!

    Notanerd, I'd recommend updating your graphics driver, if at all possible.

    I've personally tested the game in Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, and Seven, and it seems to work fairly well in all of them. That's only with a limited number of machine configurations, but it's a start.
