two questions

First, where can I find a lot of hay? I know I can buy it from people, but the best price I've seen so far is 7k, and frankly, I'd rather not pay that much. Is there anything that drops it on a fairly regular basis?

Second, I know most people don't like telling where rare pets spawn, but if someone could pm me where the frogs spawn, I'll keep my mouth shut about it. I don't want to farm them (I don't have the patience to keep a shop for long anyway) I just want one.

    Hay drops most from

    lvl 8 highlands tortoise
    lvl 20.....21? carapest terror
    lvl 30 antelope pup

    but it will always be a rare drop.

    Hay on sanctuary can be purchased for around 2k each now...so don't pay 7k. Just be patient and keep looking.

    rare spawn locations aren't exactly a secret...

    I hunt rhinodrake megaliths for hay. You'll find them outside west arch gate. o.o

    idk who or where youre buying from but hay is not 2k on sanctuary

    The level 30 Antelope Pups drop tons of it.... I was hunting them for my pet slot expansion when I was level 30 and every other pup I killed dropped one... Some even dropped 2 hay at a time.

    I agree on that, Antelope Pups drop hell of a lot of Hay! So don't bother buying it you'll get 20 Hay easy before around 30sh, for that extra slot! Altho you will not need it even then! I have 2 pets, and they are more than enough, Waspkin, and Golem!

    So do not buy hay, its easy to get it from Antelopes!

    the thing about drops tho is that the closer you are in lvl to the mob, the better the drops are. so the antelope pups are only a good hay farm spot for a few lvls above or below lvl 30.

    So then you suicide yourself to reduce your exp then start farming again.

    Nop, you don't need to suicide! I got my 20 Hay in less then 1 lvl, I think I did it in like 60-70%! So no need for suicide!

    You can always try setting a stall to buy it at 2k at Silver Pool.

    Must emphasize this. You have to be close to the level of the enemy to get the best drops.

    Hell, I'm raising a lv5 turtle and I managed to get 8 Hay just grinding on this new Veno of mine. I wouldn't advise making a new Untamed char and farming them, though. The droprate is pretty horrible. Stick to the Antelope Pups.

    Level 34 Abyssal Mystery enemies also drop hay. They are found in the river near Hidden Orchid.
