New Wizard questions.
I have just made an account and made a wizard and have plenty of new question
First is has anyone made and post a class guide that answers many of the stupid questions we newbs have? I have read all the official stuff already I might add.
And are there any good fan sites up yet.
Reading such I found answer many of my questions
But in case there are not
But in case they dont exist yet ,1) How should I distribute my stat points I get every level ?
2) And are Wizards welcome in most groups?

are stickied right to the top of the wizard forums. They have almost all the information you need.
To cut several long stories short, unless you are very good at playing mmos you chose the wrong class to start with. May I suggest a Barbarian or Venomancer as your starting class. If you persist in continuing on as a wizard use a Non PvP server. If you persist and head to Lost City, the PvP server, then I can offer you no helpful advice other than "we told you so!".
With that said, welcome to PWI.0 -
What trose means is that wizards are late bloomers. They suck compared to all the other classes at least until 60+... then they start sucking again until they are amazing at 90+. Those kind of levels take a LONG time to get to... and to learn the game, a veno or barb are probably the best options. This is my first and only character, and I've managed so far... so its not impossible.
As far as PvP, wizards have the least survivability in the game, and will get one shotted all the time until you hit level 90+ (from what I hear) and so you'll have a tough time in PvP for a while. So before asking about how to distribute points and all that, I'd make sure you chose the right class first.Youtube Channel: youtube.com/user/D2VeT/videos?flow=grid&view=0

Wizards have some good kiting skills for PvE.
We also do well in squads.
Our only other option seems to be to try to kill something before it really gets going.0 -
what they mean is that we pretty much suck the most from 1-60 then we suck a little less from 60-90 then we become somewhat of an equal at 90+ in other words:...
we strive and go to hell and go through so much stress just to be an "equal" at the end as far as am consrened thats not a fair trade...Is Back once more.
sorry med school needs some time.0 -
Thanks for replies. Might add I am not interested in PVP to start I just quit Dark Age of Camelot after 6 yeards and want to see what its like NOT to have to constantly worry about a zerg being over thenext hill .0
