manufacturing skills

what is the highest level a manufacturing skill can be? i had thought that it was 4, but then someone in my faction announced that they got level 5 blacksmith, and now im totally confused.
demodude-BM level 4x (currently 44)-TheRomans executor
barb-being made soon (what preset should i make? i think im going panda)
TheRomans guild recruiting 40+ any class pm me or SRAFF in game

    err no i know people with lvl 6
    lvl 4=needed for tt60, lvl 5 for up to including lvl 80 stuff, lvl 6 for equips lvl 81+ and then i dont know

    lvl 6 has another 3 of 2* item quest again ><
