Thinking of buying a secondary pc

Hello folks. I hope someone can answer this question.

I'm thinking of buying a laptop as a secondary computer. It has to be under $500 so I found this one at Newegg that looks promising. The problem is the graphics card is integrated and made by Intel and I'm used to NVidia cards so I'm not sure if this thing will even run PW or not. I'm only going to be using this system to browse the internet and play PW when I can't be at my monster desktop so it doesn't have to be beautiful or anything, just usable when I can't be sitting here at my desk. What do you think? Will it run PW at bare minimum settings?

It may be able to run PWI fine, but my personal preference is to go with a nVidia or ATI GPU.

We get many Tech Support issues with Intel's IGPs in motherboards and laptops.

Thanks for the fast reply Darthpanda. (I read your guide by the way!) I just couldn't tell for sure if this thing would run PW at all. And I totally agree with you. If I could find a laptop under $500 with an nVidia I would sure go for it, but I haven't found one.

(I was supposed to get a mini-laptop which is why my price is so limited, but I just don't think a mini is for me. :P )

There are a few options, if you don't mind the Best Buy site, but unfortunately, an 8200m is probably going to be slower than the Intel chip, even if it is much more reliable for gaming.

i run pwi on a TOSHIBA SATELLITE A205 1 gig ram intel duo core i use basic basic dsl
my wife run a compac with the same stats both have intel vid cards. both have vista home premium.
even using both computers in fb there is very little lag. a little sacrafice is in order for it to work like that mainly in keeping the resolution to 1024 but if you can live with that then there are combos for you

go ahead and pm if you need more info and btw we paided less than 400 for the lap tops last year
