i hope somoene reads this, what i think i good idea would be is somthing like you get achievments for doing hard stuff to do or just going along in the story line. like every 10 levels or so you get a level achievment and it gives you some money ore a new item or somthing. also stuff like after 10,000 kills you get one and 25,000 kills 50,000 kill and 100,000. also maybe to encourage people 500 and 1000. you get get other achievments for like unlocking all of the teleport places or upgrading a skill to its max level or having a really really good pet. my point is that achievments keep people into the game and make them strive to countinue to get them so that they can compete with there friends and can say that they are better than them at something besides quests and level

Interesting. But I think the achievements system works better in games that aren't RPGs (such as FPS/RTS). The whole drive of the MMORPG is that it's already inherently addictive. The idea of leveling your player character and continually outfitting yourself with better items to fight stronger monsters is what keeps people interested in these types of games.

I know these were only examples, but upgrading skills to max and unlocking the teleports takes away from the experience IMO. Instant maxed skill goes against the whole RPG character development system, and universal teleport unlock will reduce sales or particular cash shopitems, as well as take away from the adventure/discovery side of things.

The in-game quests are equivalent to "achievements" (kill X baddie, get Y reward), so maybe just add a lot more quests to reduce the level grinding.
