Hello guys!
I'm wondering which pet is the best suitable position for keeping aggrvo 24/7 in all situations. As of right now, I have a Shaodu Cub with Bash(level1). The good thing about it is that it does keep aggrvo for a second or two but when I start casting a few spells, the monster would come running at me as if it's the end of the world. b:shocked
Please make suggestions regarding pets and I will be even more delighted if you tell me what is the pros and the cons of this certain pet. And please, try to exclude phoenix or hercule; rare pets are fine though.
Most importantly, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ASSISTING ME AT THIS MATTER!

Ignoring other pets, if you upgrade the Bash skill of your Cub it will start doing better.

I personally use a Crystalline Magmite (which has higher attack, I believe), with Bash at Level 3.

Even as a pure mage Veno, I don't find I pull hate off of it much at all. If I do pull hate, or it catches aggro from another mob, I have Roar (Lv.1) to back me up.

    Hope that helps a bit.

if your looking for an all in one pet., you do have it. personally i do prefer to have a pet for every given situation, but then thats me. now your pet is not the problem , any pet can hold aggro well, it depends on the skills you purchase for your pet and maxing em out.

bash lvl 1 only does so much, upgrading it will provide better results. also try to get fleash ream as it will hold aggro better.

another thing if you pet does have various skills to use to dmg the enemy, get used to clicking them also, dont just let the default auto ability hit, use the others you have, this will cause your pet to do much more dmg and hold aggro better. You can also set the default auto skill yourself every time you summon your pet. I would advise putting fleash ream as your auto attack for your pet, then click on bash every time its aval.

knowing how to use your pet is just as important on knowing how to nuke your mobs. Hope this helps

i would say the Hercules keeping aggro the most.. but i stole the aggro of a lvl 70 hercules with my heavy veno, while fighting the quillhog king.

Try to lvl up bash on your tiny bear so that it can keep aggro better

My lvl 65 Golem with lvl4 bash was able to steal aggro from a lvl 70 Herc.

Golems hit harder than hercs do by a decent amount. However hercs are better in every single other way.

Well aware, just responding to someone's statement that Herc was best for keeping aggro

LOL, Kowlins are not tanks, so it's ability to keep aggro is meaningless, the Kowlin totally sucks in EVERY stat except for speed.... it's damage is so-so(nothing spectacular).... the only real use of a Kowlin is as a puller(and some say it makes a half decent pet for PvP, though I beg to differ)

hehe i think there is another topic about the kowlen for pvp.

well it goes like this. Once opon a time territory wars did not allow flying pets and flight thus the Kowlen was revered for being a fast dps pet to get those pesky evil players quickly.

Now flying was intergrated into pw. (we got it off the bat i think) so in pvp if someone gets attacked by a land pet they can easly....fly away.

this is why the sawfly became the new king for pvp only dwarfed by the god itself the phoenix.
