Which PVP character to make?

I need a change from my boring Veno so I'm going to make a PvP character. I'm torn between an Archer and an Axe BM. My friend told me that a pure dex Axe BM is really good at pvp and I think they look great with that big ol' axe in hand. I also like pure dex Archers since I've seen them in action in TWs. What would you guys suggest? How about pro's and con's of each? Lastly, If a similarly equipped and skilled PvP Archer and Axe BM were to duel, who would most likely win?

    I have a 56 AXE BM, theres no such thing as a pure dex axe bm, u need 3 str points every level just to use the best axe at your current level.

    pretty sure phoenix was nerfed, just hasn't been updated for NA servers yet.
    sawfly or cactus are good pvp pets though, and going fox form heavy armored hybrid I hear is good for a pvp veno build.

    Haha, you guys act like it's easy to get a Phoenix! Sorry, I am not spending that much coins for one nor do I have the patience to make that much coins. I also don't like to spend hundreds of dollars on one single game item. What I meant by pure dex was no points in vit or magic and just enough for str for your weapon and equipments and the rest into dex. I made an archer and it's currently at lvl 10. Hard to kill stuff and extremely slow killing speed. Hopefully, it'll turn out to be a good pvp character.

    give a werefox 20mil for a phoenix and another class 20mil and im pretty sure the werefox can beat almost every class with ease.

    Yeah, the phoenix will allow a veno to be one of the strongest PKers in the Game. However, I know that PWE has contacted thier developers and that they are having the pheonix's flesh ream skill nerfed to bring it more in-line with every other skill as it pertains to damage reduction vs different classes phys defense buffs and pve vs pvp damage reduction, so this may not hold true for long.

    There is always archers, they are quite good at higher lvls.

    Ah okay so it's settled. I'm going to make an Archer. b:victory

    20+ mil for phoenix + cost of good equipments for venos. It'll probably end up costing more than a similarly equipped Archer.

    The Archer will slack you on the wallet in a different way - ammo, pots, hierograms - upgrading skills, and the nerves you'll spend with you squishiness till you reach higher lvls... there is not a "cheap" class in this game, or the game wouldn't be free...

    my archer gear is cost of pheonix+herc and still phoenixs are annoying as hell even if the veno has **** gear

    Playing a veno is just not as fun -.- I have a veno and it was fun sending my pets around for about 20 levels and then it got old. If you like PvP, archers and attack clerics are good options.

    Edit: I'd have to add that all PvP characters WILL BE EXPENSIVE. As an archer I kind of hate the arrow cost and stuff BUT I have heard that clerics are more pricey for general things like grinding and TT runs. I'd like to contest their use of their MP charms vs MP charm AND HP charm AND arrow burn from archers as well as a whopping 20 more MP PER SEC when zhenning but that's unrelated to the topic of this thread.

    wow 7200 coin cost of arrows for an hour of zhenning so horrible, archer ammo cost is low, might use zomg 30k worth of coins in arrows in a full day of TT max, man thats rough

    BB = 100 MP/sec
    Barrage = 120 MP/sec (This is at lvl 1 -.- Don't wanna think about level3)

    Count the seconds in an hour.

    That's just zhenning tho 9_9. I don't count how much MP/HP I tick in TT.

    stop zenning and learn to grind, make your 150-250k an hour after repairs, then you wont whine about archer costs

    you tick mp in TT? orly? even if its dragons/guards its not much mp, heck pots practically cover them, you zhen on boss? or use skills? fail
    shouldn't tick more then 50-75k hp in a TT(and thats if your so overpowered or too lazy to control damage on normal mobs, and of course running with 1 cleric only) cleric ticks 3-6 times that

    I don't zhen lolz. I dont' cash shop and my money goes into equips and skills. And also, I wasn't whining; I was comparing and, well yes whining about whining clerics.

    And I already know casting classes tick more MP 9_9. That's not an argument.

    never used any real money on game here dq bracers mold helm/plate tt 80 gold boots pants wep(+5 wep) lifes easy breezy, all full socket, some archers QQ too much 6x and 7x= life in the easy fast lane

    nerfed not nerfed i dunno but pheonix is over rated. i have and do eat them in pvp. but then i am a tank build barb. venos are good pvp. fist bm's are great pvp. and wiz are good pvp. that is my OPINION drawn from my pvping against them. if you wanna flame th post then flame away i already stated that it is opinion so i could be wrong.

    You can go with a number of builds for BM's.. I like the lowish vit,enough str for axes rest on dex and fill your gear with HP shards. End up with 20% crit hit
    or more at lvl 90 and still have a nice defense against physical damage, its a nice build if you do it right. It also allows you to use the other various weapons, So thats an addition in some shape or way.

    Light armor Wizards are pretty beast if you do it proper and read more on it to prefect it, Sandstorm and all that other fancy flashy stuff owns pretty good against most classes but you sacrifice some damage to be able to absorb more damage.

    Pure dex archers, very beast no matter what. You can 1 shot BM's/Wizards/Venomancers/SOME Barbs but prob most and obviously clerics, I've been crit hit for 5k highest so far from 80 archers. Sometimes it takes alot of ninja skills or just go look at some of the pvp ranking archers (Serjah,djkinetic ect) well not djkinetics gear cuz u dont wanna cashshop +8 on a lvl 53 bow prob so dont look at his refining.

    Venomancers are pretty good I guess if you dont get 1 shot, I dont see venomancers doing to much in PvP they get 1-2 shot to fast to notice the damage.

    Clerics if you get high enough HP not to get one shot, go for it. build enough chi to use sleep + tempest n bye bye goes half the people in that area range, Been hit by 4.5k from that unno if it was crit or not b:shocked

    Anyways, if your gonna pvp read some guides or something unno wut server you want but HT is pretty low on PK people.. its the same people day in day out in SP minus the odd white named lvl 30 that trys to gank u. If your going to LC server, read the build guides there. Alot of good guides, Like pandoras wiz guide is pretty good.


    *Off topic* Aesthor jsut gets killed to much and becomes RoCs chi bag, thats why shes confused about what being an archer is.

    You make the arrows/bolts/shots back so fast rofl, Even if you pick up coins ! ahhaha and Clerics burn ALOT of MP in TT/HH/TW/Zhen, Just re-read what Mosz said.

    Funny then how if I get killed so much I'd even DARE walk around in PK mode with no angels. And man, how did I live through that time you attacked me while I was afk and by the time I got back I wasn't dead yet? If I remember right you out leveled at that time too, and I'm pure dex. In fact the only thing I get killed by a lot is SanosukeLee in TW.

    Don't need to QQ just cuz no one in RoC wants you back. Hong isn't gonna risk half his guild quitting for inviting you.

    Maybe if you level your alt CashShop a little you can pretend to be someone else and join. 9_9

    Edit: But yes I'm a chi-bag. Duel-happy BMs are all male characters, go figure.
