How do you keep them all leveled up?

I have three pets (two land, one air -- I tame a new water one when necessary right now) and I can't keep them all at my level. Seriously, my flying pet is currently way behind because I have to keep working with the land pets. Just when I have to face Jewelscalen, I'd love to know how people keep all their pets at a decent level. If I work on leveling my flying pet for a while, I'll end up leveling up and needing to work on my other two some more, thus leveling up and continuing the cycle ad infinitum. I suppose I could do no quests at all and thus slow my leveling but I just don't enjoy pure grinding enough to do that for long periods.

Also, if anyone can suggest a flying pet that starts around lvl 45 and is no higher than lvl 50 that I can tame now and just work on maintaining I'd greatly appreciate it.

It's quite hard to keep more then 2 caught up until your later levels when there is a beastly amount of grinding. I took advantage of snowmen personally, for me and my friend(she's level 50 and was trying to level up 5 pets... needless to say they were all lvl 38)
Also theres a room in the cube... you need to roll a 3(so room 4?) where monsters get 1 shot, give no exp, and max pet exp. (though its very chancy as to weather you roll into that room or not, and can only train land pets in there)

Other then that, I'd suggest just leveling 2(1 air 1 ground) then catching the 3rd up whenever you have a little extra exp to go. Eventually your 3rd pet will catch up, as you'll need more and more exp.

It often boils down to grinding a lot. I especially do this when questing. I've balanced out my cat, my bunny, the starter wolf for land and the hornet and hybrid fox I use in the air runs. Some will ultimately require some serious babysitting until they catch up on some levels but overall if you just switch out your pets as you quest you will find they all level up easier in the long run.

I see so many using the Crystal Golems (or whatever it is you call them) almost exclusively and rarely see veno's using other pets. Don't just stick to one pet when out in the field.

Well except in the pre-35 levels where I still leveled from quests alone, I have never had an issue keeping two pets ready to level when i do. Of course you sue the ground pet for your ground quests, and alot of the time thats enough to get them to the point where they are ready to level, assuming you have them at max loyalty (that is very important because they gain 150% exp then). After I am done with those quests I grind air mobs for exp, and generally thats enough to level my air pet. As for water pets, as there are very few acutual water quests, I just catch a new one whenever I get a water quest. And as stated it gets really easy to make sure all your pets are caught up in levels when you are a higher level, as they will be ready to level long before you ever are.

The summary of al lthis is, you just gotta work for it. It is a pain in the **** and all but, oh well, its the price we have for having a pocket tank b:chuckle. Imagine you are lvl 70+ and you get a lvl 1 HERC/Phoenix. Get ready to burn brain cells.

*another tip, max out its loyalty or at least get it up so that it gets to 150% exp received. It will make you level 50% faster*

Depending on your level, you should be able to one-shot mobs up to a certain level. It's relatively easy to level a pet up to that level - just find a spot with lots of mobs you can one-shot, get the pet out and set not to attack, and kill.

In addition to the Cube of Fate room 4 and snowmen, there's Kun Kun out by where the antelope pups are. He's kinda like the Cube mice and snowmen. Takes a few more hits to kill (your pet can probably start killing him in the mid-20s). He's level 100, but doesn't fight back and is really easy to kill. Gives your pet full exp but you only get a little exp. Respawns in 25-30 seconds.

I put the pet on manual and park it right next to Kun Kun's spawn spot. Then I wander nearby and kill mobs (without the pet) for a little extra exp and loot to pass the time. Every time Kun Kun spawns, I order the pet to kill it. Make sure you give people needing to Kun Kun for the quest a chance to kill him. Watching the wizards try to kill him can be entertaining (he is immune to magical damage). b:laugh

I'm approaching level 50 with my veno, and the time I'm spending leveling my pets is actually turning out to be good for grinding for exp (the quests don't give you enough exp to level starting in your 40s). I just use Kun kun to get the pet high enough so I can use it for grinding.

As long as your air pet is decently close to you (within 5-8 levels) you should be fine until later on when you have to grind a lot more. At that point you won't have to worry, at least nowhere near as much, about keeping pets up to your level.

I only grind exclusivey w/ my golem cuz I'm still a wee low lvl...I usually get up to about 70~95% into any given level before my golem gains any exp at all, so i can find myself ahead of him a lot, and tryin' to get my sawfly anywhere near me is a tear-jerker atm. I'm not goin' to worry 'bout lvlin' a lot of pets, yet...will wait till the lvls slow down a bit :x

I am thinking about to go there to level up my pets, but I have never done cube before. Can I just ignore the dice if it is not 3 and start over again? and my understanding is that the mobs in the room give max exp to pet regardless the level of the pet, am I correct?

Thanks for all the responses. Looks like it will be grinding for me for a while, but since I have a drop quest or two at least it won't be as tedious for me. b:mischievous For some reason I don't like grinding all that much if I don't have some sort of goal during it, even though it's really the same thing. Killing 20 mobs to get one tooth is the same as killing 20 mobs, but it just seems different somehow.

I have found that 3 pets is my max. 4 was too many for me to keep lvled. With 3 i just switch them out once their pet xp bar gets full as i'm questing. it also helps to make sure they have 500? loyalty, as they gain more xp.

If you're going to just grind to lvl your pet, I would do the one man army quests. They don't give you any extra exp then you would grinding, but you get some rep when you do it.

Good to know I'm not the only one worrying about leveling my pets. I have a Volcanic Magmite, and a Petite Sawfly. I tamed my airpet at lvl 4 and grinded hay while I had it set on follow. It's still only at lvl 11 but I read in a post somewhere that pets that are leveled from their lowest lvl end up with higher/better stats then those that get tamed at levels closer to/same as your own. It's a pain to have to grind them up, but it will pay off in the end :D

First off, you must be lvl 40 ( you have a default avatar so idk if you are). Also you need to have dice tickets to advance to the rooms. If you roll something besides a three, you can still start over. THIS can take some time. You will have to use the dice and go to the room you rolled. Then once you are in that room, you use your teleport which will send you back to room 1. WARNING: DO NOT TAKE THE QUEST IN THAT ROOM OR YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE IT TO RESTART. Just immediately teleport once you enter that room. If you look at your inventory, in place of the die you had, there will be a puzzle cube (looks like a rubic's cube). Talk to the NPC in the middle and take the cube quest again and he will give you another die(hopefully a three). Be warned tho, every time you do this, it will cost you a dice ticket.
