Finding Other Players

This is my first mmo and I would like to know how to find other players. I've met some people on the forums but I haven't figured out how to find them in-game. All help is very welcome!

    Get their names and put them on your friends list.

    Is there anyway to see friends on the mini map?

    I know I can see squad but just wonder about friends.

    well there is a friend finder button in the bottom right... to my knowledge it still doesn't work... so until that comes up you gotta message them.. check their position on friends list or be in a squad with them :P
