Because the word filter considers it offensive.
There are a large number of common words which contains substrings matching words which could be offensive in a certain context. There's a number of threads about with people wondering what happens if they want to talk about niggardly japanese dropping spices into **** in the pavement.

Like 100% of all swear filters everywhere, the one in PW also fails to do its job right. Personally I wonder why they even bother to put those in. People who want to swear always circumvent them anyway by adding an intentional typo to their foul language. So the only people getting affected by them are the ones who regularly have their innocent chat censored because the words being used are being considered offensive in a specific context in some corner of the world.

It would be way easier to just ban people who repeatedly violate the "no foul language" rule there is in PW. Technology won't ever solve the problem, only GMs can do that.

By the way, in another RPG I recently tried, you couldn't even talk about "classes" because "****" got censored, even as a part of a word. *shakes head*

I could see where some may feel being reffered to as a "***" might be considered offensive...... but for the life of me I can't figure out how the word "spoon" got censored?!?!?b:shocked

Remove the S and it becomes a slang term for the flower of womanhood.

By the way could someone explain me 'cracker' ?

Cracker is a derogatory word for someone who is white. It goes back to the plantation days when white plantation owners had slaves. They "cracked" a whip to keep the slaves working, hence called "crackers".

Anyone care to explain to me why i can't type "asshopper".

I tried to type grasshopper one day and after a little experimenting I found out what was censored.

    also "butt pirate"

please don't use the forums to test the limitations of our word filtering. Yes, the system is not perfect and should you ever encounter words slipping through the cracks that are not appropriate to sensitive eyes - please submit a ticket and let us know.

Shazz is correct. On a side note we will be making some changes to the language filter in the near future.
