i was wondering about these pets. i've heard they are cash shop pets but all i see is a battle pet box. i've done a lil browsing but with no search option that i can see i dont wana browse all 100+ threads in these forums. so, how do you go about getting these pets? as i understand it it has something to do with a zooologist or something in one of the towns, but being new to the game i was wondering if a high lvl person would be willing to put up a step by step on how to go about getting these pets. i'm sure that every new player coming into the game from now on would like to know this so if we do get a good guide perhaps we can sticky it. any and all usefull information is appreciated

    well for a hercules pet u have to get 999 sources of force, and for a phoenix 999 phoenix feathers. If u go to the NE corner of arcosaur, u will go see a mrs.zoologist, and she'll give u a quest. I dont know how u get these items, but a lot of players sell 1 for around 2k.

    You are off by 1 number. If it was 999 each, that would be cheap as heck.

    Each battle pet box gives you randomly 10,20,30,40 or 50 Phoenix Feathers, or Source of Force. The objective is to collect 9,999 of one of them. Then you take them to Mrs Zoologist in archosaur and trade them in for a pet ticket. After that you right-click the ticket to activate it and it becomes the pet egg. Be warned, once you get the egg, it is bound to your character AKA impossible to ever trade/drop/sell ect.

    Because the boxes give you one or the other, you can take 100 SoF or 100 feathers to a pet manager NPC and trade them for 100 of the other type.

    The Hercules ONLY eats Meat items and is a ground pet with insane defense stats.

    The Phoenix ONLY eats Hay items and is a flying pet with a crazy high attack power.

    I am pretty sure you NEED 9999 feathers for Phoenix or 9999 source for Hercule. If you only need 999, I would've gotten one LOONNNGGG time agob:laugh

    9999 of each....and a max of 50 per box. guess i'm gonna have to wait till later on till i can buy ingame. golem is the 2nd best for tanking correct? and thx for the posts

    Golem is the most common pet that veno players use. Its tanking abilities are great but it starts to show its weakness when battling a monster casting magic.

    I used a Crystaline Magmite until I was level 75 and got my Hercules. I used it on anything and everything. Worked just fine.

    I worked out the math in a previous thread. On average it takes $186.50 of purchases from the cash shop.

    I've spent 153.5 gold on battle pet packs so far, and I have 8490 force/feathers, which matches Solandri's calculations rather well.

    Update: With 3 million coin of gifts and loans from my generous friends, I obtained the rest of the force I need for my hercules last night. It took 180.5 total gold to surpass the 9,999 force/feathers mark, but I still didn't have enough feathers to make the final trade of 100 with the Pet Manager to get all the required force. So I bought one more gold and still found myself 10 feathers short. Argh! I searched the Archosaur catbooths, discovered one selling feathers for 2.5k, and bought 10. Thus my total expenditure was 181.5 gold + 25k coin. Very close to Solandri's estimate! I'll have 81 force left over when I do my turn-in for the hercules ticket. I promised my friends to wait until they're logged in this evening so they'll get to see the duke's announcement.

    To my good friends, plus Solandri and everyone else who posted with info on the hercules, many thanks for your help on this epic quest! b:thanks

    WOW 2.5K FOR THE PF now a days its like 7.5k on sanctuary sever but that might be the dif is the server i have see some ppl posting in world chat selling them for PM ME PRICE and i got 5k per but its hard i'm geting the nix first so i can help my fac more in TW but then i'm geting the herc i have spend close to 500k in game cash on the feather and idk how much irl cash like 20$ and i have like 770 feathers and 0 SOF as i traded them in with the pet maneger and players ;) well ttyl

    In the case of my cleric's wife, you go about it by selling stashes full of fashion. Sounds like blasphemy, but the herc and nix are far more useful. b:pleased

    wish I would have gotten my herc back then xD lol
    I now have almost 2k SoF .__.
    another way too much mil to go... and I'm horrible at merchanting.. can't even sell stuff at ah -.- my mailbox is filled with stuff that came back.. b:embarrass
    it's going to be a looooooooong way to get 9999 SoF...
    dunno why I'm posting all this.. I'm prolly just bored.. xD
