Sorry but thats the only real answer if you're planning on tanking.

You need to use that noggin and plan stats. My favorite way is to look at weapon requirements at every 10 levels (e.g. lvl17,27,37 etc). The X7's because thats when I get the next set of my axes. For hammers or poles the number will be different, but the process remains the same.

Your aim is to be able to equip the next wep at the earliest level possible. If for e.g you find you need to add 39 Str and 8 dex to get the next wep. So, every level you need to add 4 Str and 1 dex until you have added 39 Str and 8dex.
Over 10 levels you get 50 stat points. 50-(39+8) = 50-47 =3.

This means in the next 10 levels you can add 3 vit points. Note this is recommended but not compulsory. for e.g. if your total dex after adding the 8 comes to 39, you can sacrifice 1 vit and add 1 extra dex to bring it to 40. This adds 1% crit rate and 8 more accuracy. The build really is up to you and how you judge your priorities. Is 1% crit more important to you than 17HP? Maybe yes and maybe no.

Soloing is fine with a tank build (I usually solo through all my quests b:cry). Yes killing is much slower than archers or a BMs rate but you cant increase it by much anyways. Remember stats affect different races differently. For e.g., no other class gets 17HP added by 1 vit increase.

You are not mistaken. Also note that with maxed Beast King inspiration and true form, each point of vit results in a 27 HP increase in tiger mode. b:victory

+1 vit = +17HP

Lvl 10 Beast King inspiration = +30% HP = 0.3 x 17 = +5HP per vit
Lvl 3 Tigerform = +30% HP = 0.3 x 17 = +5HP per vit

So end result = 17+5+5 = +27HP.per point of vit with maxed HP buff an tigerform.

my friend told my to up the barbarian states like that: 3 STR 1 VIT 1 DEX.
do it good to up the states like he said???

theres a sticky guide here with a build chart, but any rate - i do my build on the "every two levels system" whereby I add 6 STR, 1 DEX, 3 VIT. No, you dont have to wait every two levels to add your points. What I do is the following:

Even levels - add 3 STR 2 VIT
Odd levels - add 3 STR 1 VIT 1 DEX

there's somewhat of a mathematical formula I've been following so far to make sure I'm on track with my STR and DEX - and its been holding true for a good while now. Mind you the following needs to be calculated with base stats (not including bonuses from gear). The formula is:

LEVEL * 3 + 2 = STR
LEVEL / 2 + 5 = DEX

(order of operations prevails)

for instance, at level 54:

54 * 3 + 2 = 164 STR
54 / 2 + 5 = 32 DEX

now lets say for example I were to get a pair of level 57 dual axes, the requirements for those are: 173 STR 33 DEX

in three levels, I will be adding in 9 more STR (3 each level). 164 + 9 = 173
I will be adding 1 DEX at level 55, and one more at 57 (although I don't need it) this will obviously have me set for that pair of axes. Also by following this formula, I am set for current armor as well (my level 54 arm bands need 31 dex).
