On to night 4 of playing PWI, friendly community, helpful high level players, tons of quests... lovely aint it...?

Though amongst all the seemingly flawless game Ive sene to found, Ive found one thing that royally annoys me.

Are there any rules against players kill stealing from each other? Ive been harassed by a multitude of barbarians who kill something my snow hare is tanking for me, sending a barrage of the word NOOB after I politely ask them not to killsteal from me...

Thanks for a reply, :[

they are being D-Bags and are sad because they can't kill anything them selves.
Just ignore them, or stop killing for a while, or go to a different spot, but ya, it's not illegal, just immoral.

I usually believe lag is the main cause of kill steal situations. However, whatever the reason, the best thing to do is to change spots or come back later to the same spot. There is no point wasting your time killstealing in return. Your time is better spent enjoying the game.

Most of the time (I would like to think) ksing is by accident. I know I've done my fair share of ksing on accident. I always apologize after to avoid argument, even when it probably wasn't my fault.

My advice is if ksing is becoming a bother at a moment, and it seems like the people doing it are ksing on accident, then ask them to squad with you.

Once i was in a squad, killing mobs and talking at the same time and accidently ksed someone. (I was too busy typing to notice =/
I said sorry, trying to avoid an argument but he went on and was saying that "this proves that all archers are *******" and soon got really annoying.

Things like that just happen, just accidents and stuff but if you get ksed so much that you make a forum post, try squadding more

I enjoy repelling the mobs of KSers over cliffs ... Most of the time they stay locked on it and jump over the edge. And if said KSer happens to stay blocked at the bottom of the cliff and behave strangely ... Discreetly call a GM to have the botter banished from the game.

botters dont get permabanned. for some reason they only get a 3 day ban then they are right back to botting. getting caught twice doesnt even get a permaban. dont know anyone who has been caught 3 times yet but probably still another temp ban.

well...Not looked at Harassment-aspect to to PW-gameplay yet...but~ In most games there are harassment-clauses. ...and repeated aharassment = bans normally. So if you get a good amount of screenshots...if they verbally say something repeatedly...as far as Actions, that be a lil harder to show tho =\

I haven't really played other classes, but I understand venos can have pets in some sort of auto-attack mode. So basically quite few times pets will start KS'ing on their own initiative. And then a polite veno will call her pet away while indifferent one just thinks "oops, too late anyway". Am I correct?

I've also been told that they didn't see me. So some players have their settings including proxy visual set to minimum to assure smooth graphics (good idea btw)

Well to them I say- yes keep the minimum but perhaps you can still increase proxy visual settings to maybe 1/4th? or maybe half? shouldn't do that much difference but you'll see other players. And you'd better want to.

As for class I am familiar with - BM. Yes sometimes me and another player run toward a target and he beats me to it while I have combo attack engaged.
It's quite hard to cancel combo once it starts to blow away. usually it shoots out 2-3 skills before it obeys my already given command to run away. Sometimes it's enough to KS. Sorry if I've done it to you.

Edit: But I have no business running toward fights that have already started- I start to see mob HP bar going down as I run towards it. Of course disengage. Not my fight.

However what if KS is intentional? Let's say a barb runs toward my fight and just joins in? and does it again? I don't waste my time on words then. Remember most of BM's still has that same combo skill option? I'll say if you see the same dumbass running toward your fight again- just fire the combo- take out 30-40% of mob and while he gets here you've done the 50% and claimed the kill. Good job and he's most welcome to finish it since he aint gonna get any drops out of it. Just wasting his time to what he's again welcomed to do so.
And if he's so strong he'll definitely claims the kill? well higher levels again don't get much drops and exp they get from -10LV lower mobs means little since they need way more to get anywhere.

Kinda useless activity no matter how you look at it, isn't it?

Venos have an auto-attack option where their pet attacks what the veno attacks. I've attacked mobs with my veno not realizing another player was starting their attacks also, so I hit esc to stop myself attacking however my pet keeps on attacking. What I've started doing is to stow my pet to make him stop and immediately call him back out and move over some so I don't interfere with the other player as much. I have yet to be called a ks'er or whatever, even though 9 times out of 10 I'm sure I got credit for the kill. Hopefully the fact that I pulled my pet off the mob lets them know that isn't my intention... lol Sometimes though it is too late, say for instance you get a crit or you are using a pet with a high attack, and the mob dies before you can recall your pet. Still, all you can do is apologize and move on.

With my wizard, it's much easier since I don't have a pet itching to beat the **** outta stuff, though I do have to hit esc multiple times before he breaks his macro. lol

Far easier to just click 'follow' on the pet bar. The pet will come back, no unsummoning needed.

Not to be rude, but by this statement, it almost makes me think you may be the one accidently KSing.

I mean sure 1 or 2 maybe but the way you put it, a multitude of barbarians, almost makes me think you are not sure how a barbarian has to fight. They have to get to the target to attack it and it seems that you may be sending in your pet when they are about to engage.

Keep in mind lag time and visual attack times may also come into play. If you are already fighting and the mob is low health, I may agree with you, but the way this is written almost makes me think you are attacking mobs that they have already been running to with a skill queued up.

I play both, so I can see both sides.

Not when my summon is on a hot key... lol ;)

I'll have to give that a try. Is there a way to use the pet commands using the keyboard similar to how you press alt + 1,2,3, etc. for their attacks? I prefer hot keys where I can as I don't have to look for a button to click with the cursor.
