An FP item question

Hey all, just a quick question.
I'm about to go on my first FP soon, and I wanted to know about the items the boss drops. When it dies, do items fall on the ground and it's a first come first serve thing, or do you get items placed directly in your inventory? What is the etiquette on these items with a team? Any other advice for a first time FP'er? What can I expect in a squad?
I'm a level 21 vecro, if that means anything.

    Items are dropped on the ground. If the squad is on random distribution, they'll go to people randomly, assuming someone picks them up. If the squad's on free, whoever picks the items up gets them. Generally, the better drops go to the player who had the call to duty - many squads don't follow that bit of etiquette though.
    As for advice on squads, just get some decent lvled friends, or people who are willing to help you - whoever helps you gets exp, spirit and reputation, so there's a lot of people willing to help you.

    Your real reward come via the weapon when you cash in the quest.
