New Classes Maybe?

There's only 6 classes and after a while, you get bored, you play them all. Some of us find the class we should have started with, but some of us don't. We sit there at the character creation screen, cycling through the 6 classes, thinking in the back of our minds, I wish there was another class. Something different. But the 6 classes there are already so broad, it's kind of hard to come up with a new class. Well I'm here to help.
Human Samurai:
This will be another tank. Heavy armor, TWO HANDED SWORDS (yes new weapons need to be brought in.) Probably just some kind of katana for Samurais only. They'll be more in the middle of a Blademaster and a Barbarian. Less health and Physical Defense than a barbarian, but more than a Blademaster. More damage than a barbarian, but less that a blademaster.
Elf Mage Slayer:
This will be like a blademaster except this guy is the kind of guy you want in arcane armor. Your build will probably be minimum amount of dexterity and magic that you need and the rest you're pumping into strength. This will probably become the main Magic Boss tanks which would be quite nice. These are going to be the guys that deal out insane damage upclose. Even more so than the blademaster. But they will also be doing a little less damage than a wizard.
Another Suggestion for Elf:
Maybe an Assassin class instead. I know the above could be done with a blademaster so it would just be different skills. So why not make something entirely new. A light armor based class that can stealth and not be seen. You could raise the skill and starting at level 1 you have a 55% chance not to be seen and at level 10 100%. These guys could have a poison line where they buff their weapons for an attack and these poisons will do special things. Some poisons should be a slow cast like some kind of stun poison that as you level up the stun time increases. But some, in the heat of combat, like some kind of damage over time poison, could quickly be thrown on your weapons. Then there should be a line of attacks you can only used while stealthed. These will probably be their strongest attacks. Then there should be another line of just general attacks. Maybe more skills depending how long the 3 lines are.
Untamed Shaman:
There aren't enough healers. It's clear. Cleric is a nice class yes, but for some of us it is quite boring. If there we're 2 healer classes, we'd be ready more often for a harder FB or dungeon. This way, less people are forced to make a cleric for their faction and moan and complain the whole time they're their clerics, saying how much they don't want to be one. Now while the cleric will buff others and heal others, the shaman should heal, and debuff opponents. Maybe physical and magical defense debuffs. Lower health and mana. Maybe even a mana drain. It'd bring a new strategy all together to Perfect World. You get a cleric in the group to buff everyone. You get a shaman to fully debuff the boss. Maybe you got unlucky and could only get a blademaster for the boss. No problem now. The boss can't hit as hard and he can take the damage. And of course, what if the shaman gets a monster on him? How does he defend himself? He should have another line of spells for rooting or snaring the enemies for a decent amount of time, some plain ol' damage skills, and maybe a special little curse spell that makes them take damage over time and some fear effect. The fear would make the monster run in a random direction. It could be used in your favor or against because it might run the way you want to go.
These are just some suggestions, feel free to add on more ideas for the skills for the classes or new class ideas all together. I think it would be great and a lot of fun if you could get some new classes to play as in Perfect World. It's a great game already, but why stop there when we can make it better?

I like the idea of the shaman, the others not so much. The samurai can be done with a BM (ever notice that there aren't any shields? that makes swords pretty much two handed to begin with) and the same for the mage slayer (seriously, just throw some robes on a BM). There's already "poison" effects in the game, pets with Ripping Bite and the Veno flame scarab, just to name a few. If you really, really, REALLY want to play an assassin character, go play Shaiya (they have a class CALLED assassin for crying out loud).
But, yeah, the shaman. It would probably be something along the lines of full support, heal/buff with one or two magic attacks thrown in to give you something to use when you're not supporting. As for debuffs, clerics have them, FACs rely on them.0 -
I had an idea for a new class...
What if we had an Untamed/Human/Elf necromancer? The class itself would be quite a bit like a veno, accept that the pets would be the wraith monsters that venos can't tame. The class would be darker and more menacing than other classes with attacks based on darkness and such. Probably it would be more damage-oriented than a veno with a lot less debuffing/buffing skills. Think of it as a powered down wizard with a pet. Also, perhaps the summoned creatures could have a timer (it can only be summoned for a select amount of time ect.) or do less damage than a veno's pet.
The thing is the class doesn't really fit in with any of the current races... so maybe a new like wraith race should be added or something. Just a thought. b:victoryLevel 74 before genies showed up o.o0 -
The poisons aren't just going to be damage over time. They'll do other status effects, and what I mean by two handed swords is not just 2 swords at once, but a really big sword. It could lower defense but increase attack because they don't have as much guard ability using something that big. The have 2 handed axes and hammers. why not swords?0

All I can say about the Necromancer class is: has anyone here played Guild Wars? If you want up-to-ten-minion, cursing-and-debuffing, hp-stealing fun, play a GW Necromancer. I think that because the Veno's strength comes from one really strong pet, a Necro's strength should come from the opposite direction: quantity over quality. Trust me, it's a great feeling when you send in your army of hideously deformed minions to swarm around an enemy and beat the tar out of him. In long battles, you actually actively summon more minions as enemies die. = ownage.0

for some of u who knows about .****//GU, u should kno about this class.
Why not a class that uses multi weapons, like an Adept Rogue
Using twin blades, then quickly switch to a Large long sword, and then to a scythe.
A multi weapon system.0 -
I love the idea of a Shaman and a Nerco. That would be awesome.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
