Flying Duration

I can't figure out how to restore the duration on my flying equipment, could someone please tell me what to do?

  Open your inventory and drag Chi stones onto your flying implement.
  
  Chi stones are gotten by using the 'Decompose' option to destroy a piece of equipment.
