Hiya!
I would like to get female pants, but I want them to be black. If I purchase random pigments, does that mean, when used, I get random colors on garments.... or when purchased I get random colors and I can use them to dye items the colors I want?

On the other hand, am I better off just buying the pants I want from another player that has already made them?

Thanks in advance for any information anyone can give me.....

When random pigments are bought you get them in your inventory as a batch they have no specific colour and it's totally luck with what colour clothes you get. I suggest checking the auctioneer and seeing wether anyone is selling in there as it may be cheaper then the street price.

Thanks....any idea if there are pants available for female characters (non-veno) that don't have those flaps? LOL

There are no other pants for females atm. Btw, the Seaspray Slacks are bugged on venos and 90% of the time the flap doesn't show.

I'd suggest using random pigments to dye clothes if you want black. About 35% of the time they'll come out in a colour so dark, it looks black unless you squint. Random Pigments are also 25k apiece (average), versus 350k apiece for a pure black dye.

Ah reminds me of the days in Guild Wars where black dye was worth a fortune and occasionally you would get one in a drop.
