Is there some new event concerning these lanterns?
Can a GM or mod maybe provide us with a little information pls..

    Actually, they are the same thing. When the Nien Beast is there, the lanterns are not. When its run off due to all the fireworks, the lanterns are there. They are connected.

    The lanterns and the Temple Fair NPCs appear in place of the Nien Beast once it has been killed (part of the spring event).

    The OP is talking about the numbered lanterns that speak of riddles and such, and theyre not mentioned in the event page at all.

    As I stated previously, nobody knows (or is going to say possibly in the case of the GM's) any more than they have announced on that page at this time. When they are ready to inform us about what those lanterns do, I'm quite sure they will be included in that page or there will be another page added.
