Is there some sort thing where you can post someones name to be PK'd for a price? A sort of Bounty Hunting if you will.

And if not, is this idea valid?

An mmo I once played (I don't even remember the name of it anymore) had such a system where you could add a name to a list and whoever kills him/her can claim the coin.
Fairly interesting but with a system like that you're bound to have people take advantage of it.

Alas, a bounty system only works if the penalty for being killed outweighs the value of the bounty offered. Otherwise the target just has a friend or alt kill him to collect the reward.

On the other hand, bounties could certainly spice things up on a "hardcore" server where death is permanent like in real life. b:laugh

A better Bounty System, which I believe makes much more sense, is for which ever a person wants to have killed can add their name to the Bounty List, but the Reward is paid into the system by their OWN amount of coins so whenever the person does get killed by another player, the coin will be recieved automatically.

    So basically.

Player A wants Player B killed.

Player A goes to the Bounty List and add Player B to be hunted down.

Player A sets the bounty reward to 100k which is paid by his own coins

Player C takes this mission for a fee of 5k, and kills Player B.

Player C recieves the 100k coins in the mail.

    Player A gets a notification, that Player C **** Player B.

Uh...that's what we're talking about. And the moment the bounty is listed, Player B asks his best friend Player C to kill him, and B and C split the reward. Probably not what Player A had in mind!

It's really hard to kill someone who isn't logged in.

It's really hard to try and beat the system if you aren't logged in.

lol, yeah that makes sense. So I guess there should be restrictions then.

    For example let's say...

The hunter can't be on their targets friends list or faction.

The hunter cannot be from the same account the target is currently in.

You can't be a bounty hunter unless your level... Let's say 50.

And I'm not sure about this idea but...
To get the reward you have to PK them a certain number of times.

And just wondering about what the payment should be like. I mean I'm sure PWE would like to get a profit out of this...

So to post a PK request should cost about 1-5 gold and your reward to have that that character PK'd.
