Questions about calendar creation event

I have the same questions! really nobody knows the answer?

Q) Can I use stuff only from perfectworld.com, or can I use for example wallpapers from japanese site etc also?

The stock images included in the calendar kit are a great place to start, but feel free to find other sources of inspiration within the game!

The only thing we ask is that you do not obscure the actual calendar section (upper right corner) as well as the Perfect World logo (bottom right of image).

- Do not use characters, locations, or objects from other intellectual properties (Perfect World elements only!)."

So no on the Japanese websites.

Answer: No you apparently cannot change the calendar section. says right there. but you can change the background. "obsure" i assume means change it in any fashion. color, design, etc. yes- iagree it is a little silly to request to have it look the same along with the logo. but... its not my rules. b:chuckle

just do what i did. cut around the calendar and logo sections and leave it alone as a layer. then the background layer change as see fit. happy creating!

personally i don't like using *other* people's artwork to do a collage. too many copywrite, getting permissions deal.

however, in this instance it is pretty difficult seeing the images of perfect world belong to perfect world. but i still rather get my own screenshots in game. which i have so all ready.

i am a graphic artist to some degree- copywrite issues is a whole different article which i suppose doesnt apply here unless you are using actual artwork (drawn) by someone else without permission. screenshots i guess is ok. but.. i like to get permission from the screenshot taker if i use it in any way. makes me feel more at ease when making artwork. especially knowthe the fact that once you've gotten written consent and save it as proof... they can't sue you for lots of money for using their stuff. b:shocked

even though this is just for entertainment and we arent really making money off our arts here. some people still find it hmm.. stealing their work. others think of it as a flattery and are more then happy to let you use their stuff along as you give them back credit. thats a win win situation right there. wish the world was more like that. alas.... artwork... people like their name on their artwork. period.

As far as I know, that poster did not and was not intended to submit any posters into the Perfect World International poster contest. I do not believe his or her work would be accepted for the contest. I can not speak about Shazzbot's statements with any degree of knowledge.

Because the point of this contest is to provide Perfect World Entertainment with content and the right to distribute that content, I believe any content submitted must either be the intellectual property of the submitter or of Perfect World Entertainment. Perfect World Entertainment reserves the right to publish pretty much any content involving purely in-game footage, but it's probably best to use media that you created, are from the fan-site or calendar creation kit, or are part of the PerfectWorld.com site.
