So when do the good times end?

Started playing this game about a week ago. Decided on a Cleric, full support 9mag/1str build. Based on that decision I was expecting it to be pretty rough leveling up but a better reward in the end via having the strongest build for heals and buffs for groups.

While I admit that the low teen levels were harsh becuase regening mana via meditation takes freaking forever, once I decided to put on the 15,000mp charm from the one quest I found things to be very fluid, I no longer died becuase I was trying to cut it close and save more mana for attacks. I got hooked on charms and have been able to afford bronze mp charms each time a current charm has run out so mana is never an issue anymore, and becuase mana is never an issue neither is health since its a quick heal away. I've been duo'ing pretty much all of my quests with either another cleric or an archer that I have made friends with inside the game so far, and I am pretty much the tank while were out duo'ing because I draw aggro since my attacks are powerfull due to the full int build. Single mob just toss a HoT. Two or three mobs at a time cast plume shell and toss 2 or 3 HoT's and I'm fine, just alternate 2-3 attacks and then another HoT or two before the first ones wear off, ect ect. Soon as its dead move on to the next mob, no sort of downtime at all thanks to limitless mana.

So... when can I expect these "good times" to start coming to an end? Like, the point I won't be able to take hits like I currently am, and will need to be picky about what mob types I grind on when solo and otherwise will grind better with someone else to tank? I know things can't continue like they are now forever, or everyone would play a cleric.

If you keep using a charm, they'll never end. If you stop using a charm, it just gets harder ~6x+. But not by much.

Be careful not to spoiler yourself with charms, they can get pricey soon when you need the extra gold to lvl you skills, if you are buying with real money then you might rack up one hell of a credit card bill. When ever you are grinding try to go after wood mobs especially ones who do poison. I can kill wood mobs that poison up to 5 levels higher than me just make sure to get purify when you can.

Thats one of the things I was worried about that would bring the "good times" to an end at some point, the not being able to afford charms at a point due to other costs.

My second Bronze MP charm is about to run out, and I've got enough coin to buy 2 more, but the skills are getting more expensive, and the coin you get from DQ drops arnt going up on the same scale :o

I will never spend real money on this game, so in game coinage will apparently be an issue at some point I see :x

Thanks for the info. But untill then... let the good times roll~

You can go with 3mag 2 vit with str enough for your robe. Your magica damage on mob is not much different, if you need pvp at some point of time, just +++ your gears.

+2 vit is for when you have chance to go fb, you wont die instantly to bosses AOE.

You can use pills and +MP recovery robe to make things easier for your.

Something you might want to consider for the level 30's instead of spirit charms is to craft your own potions. I believe its called focus powder that gives +50 to mana regen per second for 10 minutes. What I do is just hit all the mobs around me and make sure to harvest any crane herb and salvia root I see while killing things, I harvest more than enough to keep a never ending supply of these potions and while they are on its practically impossible to run out of mana even if you are non stop spell casting.

At this level there really is no difference between these potions and a spirit charm, except the potions are free if you self harvest. I'm level 37 at the moment and they are still working more than fine with all my regular spells maxed out (I'm short on spirit for spells, not coin) I'm sure there will come a time where they wont and I'll need spirit charms, but I can't see that being a problem for a long time yet

At lvl 50+ even Focus Powder (It's like Bule Crack for Clerics) will not keep me from running out of mana, but it deninately helps. It will only take a short while to regen back to full with it. Its still good times for me and still leveling pretty quick too.

After lv 60, or at least when I was about Lv67, at least 80% of my exp I have to purely grind without quests.
Every 10%exp gained around this lvl I earn about:
    150k(DQdrops)-30k(repairs)=120k average profit
so I was able to afford gold charms pretty easily+herb harvesting did tons.
I think the mid 50s and 60s might be tight a tad cause you still lvl up using quests alot.
