Life Powder and other apoth items nerfed?

Ok this is strange. I love to make things with Apoth I tend to make just about everything I need. I play a wizzy so I need life powders and other apoth items to solo with. After this last patch I noticed that my life powder did not seem to work like it did, before it. I chalked it up to just being higher lvl and getting hit harder. So I started watching how much damage i was taking. I pulled a even con monster and killed it and it was hitting me for about 175 hp per swing. I would maybe get hit 2 to 3 times during a fight max. So lets add this up 175 X 2.5 ='s 437.5 damage. Now we factor in the healing effects of life powder. 50 hp per second. ( ok not a math major so you do the higher math) But with 50 per second and with the 4 to 5 spells needed to kill the monster it takes me about 30 secs to kill it that would be 50 X 20 = 1000 hp. So before I even targeted another monster my hp should be full health. It is not. Not even close. The life powder does seem to work WHEN I am NOT fighting, but not working during fights. Other powders ( mana 50 per tick) also are not working right . Same issue not working during fights.
Now you say hmm maybe I am using more mana then I think or HP then I think, I give you this to puzzle. When using the Dragons Breath skill you Consumes 120 Mana every 3 seconds, inflicting Fire damage equal to base magic damage plus 1225.4. An the mana powder gives you 50 mp per sec. That should mean you would not run out of mana. YOU do. So was the coding changed? Where the items nerfed? I would understand that the items are fairly over powdered but they are not and they are not really easy to get ( well Life sort of is but others more a pain to get since higher lvl apoth). Anyway please post if you have noticed this issue as well.
Peace.

All +recovery factor items have only 1/4th of their usefulness during battle.
In other words, when that red circle around your portrait starts flashing, you're in battle mode. If you had +50 health recovery then, you now only have 12.5.0 -
Yup, and thats why at the end of the fight you get not 1000 hp but 250, which is just above half of the dmg you took0

damn math word problems0

Wow that sucks.0

Solution: end the fight, run back a ways, meditate. Once you're out of "fight mode" you'll recover HP at 100/second. Wait till you're full again (should only take a few seconds) and get back in the fray. :P[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Yes, I'm still a stubborn holdout in favor of the old game. Haters gonna hate. ;]
Other Active Characters:
LigerKing (Barb), Girasole (BM), Shamsheer (Sin), ArborSoul (Mystic).0 -
As already stated, HP and Mana recovery only works at 25% during battles.0

Don't know if I'm right, but the powders that grand you X000 hp over 30 seconds (like chaos powder) don't seem to be affected by this rule. When I use that, while tanking without a cleric for exemple, I get to full hp. I use the powder giving me 4000hp, and I have about 3600 hp. I usually activate it when I pass under 1000, and then get to full hp (unless the boss is to strong :P).0

Life Powders and Focus Powders are not the same as Chaos/Jade Powders. The former grant a bonus to natural health/mana regeration; the latter will provide a different, temporary buff. Consider them to be equivalent to a super-potion. They are not affected by the regeneration penalty because they are not considered regenerating buffs.0
