What to combine with cleric

Hi all, well.. me and a friend of mine want to start playing this game and i want to play a cleric, what class shall my friend make so we can do a great job on leveling/pvping? Thanx in advance.

    a barberian or blademaster
    the barberian is the tank of the game
    and blademaster has good aoe damage
    they both have high physical defense and can have lots of mobs on them

    A BM would make for slightly faster leveling, but a barb would let you kill bosses and do runs much much much easier.

    If you have a barb and a cleric, you can do almost anything.

    A barb and a BM is good, but will still run into problems with some bosses and runs.
    Everyone here is ridiculously oversensitive.

    basically either a barb or a blademaster

    barb:

    - can do almost any instance with barb and cleric as these are the main two classes for running instances
    - leveling is alright
    - pvp is still good with each but not as good as blademaster

    blademaster:
    - isnt recommended to use as a tank for instances therefore youll have to find another barb that needs the dungeon or is willing to help
    - leveling is extremely fast 60+ blademaster can aoe grind while cleric heals
    - pvp is alot better because blademaster can stunlock while cleric nukes them and blademaster can also support with damage and dragon

    so if you want to level fast and pvp well i'd recommend a blademaster

    A Barb would be the best partner , you heal he tanks , perfect combo! b:laugh

    thanks very much for the replies people.well about my nick i dont think there is a "bad" word in it...anyway i will recomment barbarian to my friend since i bealive from other mmo's that healer-tank is the best combination... be4 reading those posts we were considering to make healer-archer but now we changed our minds. anyway thanks alot b:kiss

    i agree. you'll be grinding most of the time so partner with a blademaster.
    as a tiger barb i prefer to team up with a paper wiz (when grinding)since i seem to need dps more than heals.

    I'm a tiger barb to, but I don't really agree with you. barb-cleric can be very effectif when grinding. However this needs the two to balance their skills.
    The clerics metal skills are good in combination with poison fang (wood damage), purify is also really nice when you have disease mobs, and the slowing spells are very effectif when fighting mobs that tend to kite. However, for a barb-cleric combo, the devour would be quite useless.
