What place does an archer go?

i donno what spot an archer goes in a party
like elf cleric is healing and buffs
barberian is tank
Bm is damage
Wizard is damage dealer
Veno's are tanks with there pets (i think)

what do arches do, i never really looked at them to play, just wondering

    archer is the best physical damage deal in the game. they can easily outdamage a BMb:victory

    They hit Hard and does more critical then others ( i think )

    Archers, as mentioned before, can deal high amounts of damage, and yes, they seem to rack up more critical hits than other classes.
    Furthermore, their skills can aid in taking down monsters quickly by poisoning them, and also, can relatively attack without being hit due to Knockback Arrow.

    pfft.. wizard damage dealer =p..? in zhenning pts an archers aoe does more then 2x the wizard does with there aoe....

    Archers do excellent damage deal.They have more crits than other classes, being tied to Veno in damage, second to Wizard.

    This is an understatement. Archers most definitely crit more than any other class.

    poison on mobs sucks the best archer skill for taking down bosses is the HP reduction skill, start a boss with that their max hp will be down (up to 16% when skill maxed at 85 or 20% at sage?) when the hp reduction skill ends in 30 seconds the mob will not regain that % hp lost

    and highest crit most definetally, some BMs aint for high crit, but archers get 20%+ crit with no effort at higher lvls, and thats double damage hits

    there was some truth in the statement the veno pet ignore the defense/attack penalty when fighting lvl 150 bosses, so its as if the pet was lvl 150 and doesnt do the reduced to 25% or so damage that the other classes do,
    easy test :
    chientien in TT 1-1/1-2 has similar def/resists as raged wraith chief/yan the traitor, see how all classes do significantly less damage on chientien compared to the 2 expansion bosses, but pets dont

    Archers are all about damage. I party with Mosz often and his damage is crazy. Problem is he hits TOO hard and steals agro all the time.

    Archers are tanks and the best kind of character for pvp, archers are pretty much the best at everything in a pvp server or a pve

    Archer is no tank you will always have crappy hp even + all the way u like or go hybrid. Archers have average def both ways more leaning toward magic even with physical def acessories (example necklace, belt) non + gears. Archers are DD only reason they DD more is because of crits. Pure damage without crits then Mage/Cleric out damage Archer. If its just one move damage then Barb move Perdition is highest spike damage skill on the game. Archers are great pkers and good soloists for grinding.
