Cultivation Bosses after 30.

One thing I have noticed about these fellows is that after 30, it seems they get a MASSIVE buffing up in everything. Normally, I would expect a boss to be buff.

But take Krixxix for example. I remember siting and watching a group of 39-mid 4x people take him on. There were two tanks, a cleric, and a veno. He obliterated them quite quickly.

You need Krixxix in order to get the skills you're supposed to have at 39, so why does it seem you need to either 1: Be very much higher in order to kill him or 2: Have a much higher friend to assist you, in order to beat him?

I have seen the same with other culti bosses.

I had no problem with Krixxix, because I had a 6x guildie help me out with him, but my point is, it seems almost a little unfair to those who may not have high level friends.

Higher levels often help with FBs, but that's because they get exp and reputation out of it, where as with a culti boss I don't see any benefit of them helping out.

How do other people feel about it? =o (This isn't a whine/complain thread, just a discussion thread!)

Well, it's always nice with challenges in games. Just wait until 49 and 59. D:
Also, one of the reasons why a guild is so nice to be in in this game is exactly for things like these. To help out with bosses and such. Sure, they get no exp, spirit or rep for helping you kill a boss, but as guildies they are supposed to help and support you, not to mention you getting those bosses killed makes you stronger, which makes the guild stronger too.
Same with Call to Duty and HH. Helping out your guildies will make them stronger, which makes the guild stronger.
And yea, what is a game without challenges ? b:chuckle

yeah, I like challenges too, and guild unity <3 but it just may be a little unfair for those without those connections. xD I am sure they exist.

game forces squad play on some quest (fb's/boss quest/some cultivations).Make friends in high places is all i have to say or just pray you get those nice set of people that will help.

    She has them! >:3

As for everyone else who doesn't, if you run around screaming for a high level to help you, it usually works. Best advice I have.

we took him out today, A veno, cleric and blademaster, all lvl 37 (cleric lvl38). My pet died almost immediately, however our cleric did a nice job as he kept our health up. it took us almost 10 mins to kill krixxix, but we succeeded.

While we were resting krixxix respawned and another group with a high level came for it. It did not even take them 1 mins b:laugh. I loled hard.

i prsonaly think, that if you get a quest at a sertain lvl you should be abel to hit it with a squad of your lvl, just look at FBs went to human fb19 with a full squad my lvl and we got whiped out on the way to boss (even got a cleric to help, tho it wasnt HISS fb) and now at 40, i had 6 boss fights in my quest screan, and couldnt get them without a 6x tanking them.

it realy sucks, cuz you wont get drops if you take to high lvl players with you, and lets say, they useualy hve nice drops in FBs

Krixx is actually a lot easier than people think. He is actually a wonderful learning tool for newer players to go outside traditional thinking.

Take a minute to look at him. He is a water based boss and his magic attacks do water damage. Who generally has the lowest magic resistance....barbs and blademasters.

Vet players have learned that there are times when magic classes should tank certain bosses, while other times melee classes should shine.

A simple way to beat Krixx near the level when you receive the quest (and this goes for Suzerix or whatever his name is north of Sumor) is get a mage, cleric or veno to tank and have a healer stand directly behind the magic tanker, out of range of the AoE. The tanker should have armor that is heavy in water resist, either through bonuses or stones. Anyone else that feels the need to do damage needs to control their aggro so they don't out damage the tanker (aka, just don't spam the skills and be in a rush!), and walk out of the AoE range to heal themselves. The cleric just focuses on the magic tank, so everyone else that choses to get hurt will be responsible for their own healing.

It takes a while to kill these bosses if you are doing it near the same level, but it is supposed to be a challenge at those levels. The only problem you should encounter would be impatient twits from outside your squad with high levels who jump your turn because they are in such a hurry. If they are rude like that, no need to even bother speaking to them as they won't care. Let them take aggro and finish him off, then just get the next one. No need to try and outdamage a high level, just save your resources for when it will count.

    Hope this helps.
