Why I Like PWI - or don't

Wondering what folks like best about Perfect World. I see from forums most everyone has come after playing other mmo's and mmropg's. Personally, I like being able to play without a monthly fee and able to invest IF I want to (or not). I also love the look of the game and am too low level right now to comment much on gameplay except to say low level is challenging enough to keep the game fun yet feel like you are getting somewhere. Love the jump feature and am tweaking that skill. I also like that the majority of players do seem not to be as rude or bossy as other games. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is the limit on jobs BUT I think that will change in time with new job variations maybe off in the future. I mean face it- tanks, healers and dd's are pretty much the core anyhow but variety is always nice. Your thoughts?

    I hate the controls of the game.. Seriously need to take notes from Wow on player movement. This is just Clunky.

    I like the community. The controls and some of the quests need a little work, though.

    What I love about this game: The character customization and the shopping! LOL

    I like Perfect world because it's my first mmorpg and the ones i have played after were not as interesting as this (Maple Story, and Cabal). The graphics are the most appealing though. Maple Story got repetitive and the something about Cabal made me get tired easily. For the death of me I refuse to play WoW. Plus PWI is free.

    It's free, and I have no money :P Also, the character customization is great, though I'd prefer they left us changing at least it's hairstyle and beard with the in-game money... like a barber shop or something like that. The enviroment is very well done, though it uses a collision-detect system that is a little weird. People here is much better than at Cabal (almost all of them)
    Bad thing is that there isn't an option so you can control the camera without having to have the right mouse button clicked (or there is?) and I think the Function Keys should use up to the number 8, which would be much more comfortable.

    you hear alot in WoW people get level 70, make another character blah blah blah quit.

    I dont like the short zoom limit on the camera but everything else is awesome!

    The game is great. Still, it has a lot of room and potential for improvement.

    the leveling up is starting to get to me, its starting to feel like a chore now, I honestly dont understand how certain people get to lvl 100 so fast...what a sad life.b:surrender

    Pros:

    1)Amazing graphics, even on lowest detail setting
    2)Best community I have experienced in any game so far
    3)I like the asian culture in this game
    4)Character customization pwns any other mmorpg
    5)Overall fun gameplay

    Cons:

    1)There isn't a level limit on pking (besides the level 1-29 lowbies), so you can easily get 1-hit by a level 90+ person
    2)Billions of cat-shops in West Archy! >:-O

    I like the wide range of customization and the community. And I can understand what you mean about the music, Gielgamesh, I got hooked on it for a while too. =P And of course, the fact that it's free is definitely a plus. xD

    But I don't like the hyperinflated economy, that's for sure. D:

    Every few years I have to take a break from whatever RPG I am running to get a fresh perspective and hopefully renew my enthusiasm. PW just happens to be the game of the moment for me. At some point, I'll grow bored and return to my usual pursuits but until then, a nice diversion.

    The quests are boring.

    Why should I have to kill five times as many mobs at 55 level as I did at 10 when the damn mobs are leveled up equally?

    Mounts . . . turn the stupid things off when you get to where you are going! Or are you so proud of what's between your legs or under your feet you have to show it off to everyone every minute of the game?

    Catshop West: move them all to the center of the city around the bridges and walkways.

    Total lack of roleplaying. Yes, I have looked, but what benefit is there in the game to do it? If I could write the storyline as I went and incorporate it into the game, that's one thing but otherwise what use is there?

    The message system sucks or maybe it is just the keyboard layout. A audio squad chat would be a huge plus.

    The manufacturing aspect pretty much sucks. I spend a lot of time farming and hardly pick up enough to make it worth the time. Also you can get 2 or 3 out of a plant that has to grow but not a coal mine. Why is that? Why is it you can only get some items as drops and those drops disappear as you level up? Why can't I kill bug types and get grease at 56 level. That's why a made a second character, to harvest the lower level mats.

    The quests are VERY boring.
