Game Starts but doesnt respond

Basically I start the game i enter, and then there's just an image of the last place i was when i last logged out. no response just the music. Help?

    Run a verify from the launcher and/or hold W while logging in (i.e. while the game is loading, after you select your char) and tell us if the problem persists.

    tryed that when i do the w thing i just hear the sound of running but no change in the image and no response.

    Ah your post got cut off. Try this please.
    The trick is 'smart' quotes, which not every web page can support (and most don't in the first place). If you have that sort of issue pop up, check for any unusual symbols (such as foreign currency symbols), then remove and replace every quotation mark, comma, and apostrophe. Mostly seems to come up if you've copied a text into Word or similar text editors, although I've seen Chrome render 'normal' punctuation as 'smart' punctuation before (HATE!).

    You're using 2 CPU's, which means you have to change the affinity settings. To do this, start the game and then press Ctrl + Alt + Del to bring up the Task Manager. In the
    processes tab, find elementclient.exe. Right-click on it and choose Set Affinity.
    Untick/uncheck all but one CPU, then select OK.

    Also, updating your graphic drivers/directX may help.

    Now you mention it, those links ARE down. I took them from the Troubleshooting FAQ. =/ Better report that.

    Straight URLs can get truncated by the boards; while they work, copy-pasting them does not. Sorry about that, Amiris.

    Go to the Start Menu, and right-click on Computer. Click Properties. You'll have a window called System show up. About three-quarters of the way down that window, there's an area called System Type, right under where your RAM is listed. System Type will describe the bit width of your operating system.

    This doesn't sound like an affinity-related issue, and I'd rather avoid the affinity fixes unless they're the most logical choice. Not having permission to change them is a little odd, though.

    I can change others, just not the elementclient.exe affinity.
    The game sort of works now but every five second the screen shuts off and restarts and goes black and its all laggy.

    Well I did play for a while, but my screen kept blacking out and restarting until it froze and then blue screen. b:sad
    I even optimized the settings first, it must be the dual core processor affinity that i cant set.

    I didnt record it, I tried to play again,this time my character is moving super fast, but after a few seconds gets put back to the location i logged in at...

    That's definitely an affinity issue, then. Are you using an administrator account with full access privileges?

    Yes I was, Im able to set the affinity if I disable the UAC. Its cool though, Im able to play now... 1st time in months.b:victory
