Archer vs Barbs

Well..Today I PVPED against a barb my lvl and the result was 1:5 for him. And the only one time I killed him was when he used normal attacks on me and missed me all the time. Then he started to use some kind of spells (I don't know the barb skills) doing about 350dmg and I couldn't do anything cause he is very fast (in tiger mode) and has a lot of hp. Tell me what skills do I need to have and in what order should I use them to defeat a barb in PVP.

    it get progressively harder for archer to kill barbs as the lvls go up. Before lvl 60 or so, its stun/freeze, lighting lighting. If your stun miss, run, cause the fight is over. At higher lvl you leave the barbs to the mages and pick off robes. And here is the thing... archers don't duel. In order to start the duel, both sides must be about 5 meters away from each other. And at that range most of the archer's attack does half dmg.

    What about that arrow that decreases % hp and frost arrow when u r sage? I mean don't u have better chances to defeat barb if u r sage.

    Keep in mind, unless your fighting a lvl 30 barb, the sage barb will have a sh** load of hp.

    Ok then what about the PK and stunning attack in the back, when the barb doen't expect the attack. Come on..there must be a way to kill those tuff barbs... b:shocked

    If you get the jump on a barb it gets easier. max range sharp, spark, freeze, lighting for 8 seconds, stun, lighting again. with proper cover, the barb shouldn't realize where you are until after you spark. Throw in a couple of crits, the barb should be dead or close to dead. If the barb gets into range and you can't kill him in 2 more shots... flee.

    at higher lvls, in duels u can beat em, in pvp, no chance without help, u cant beat the hp charm :(

    Makes my eyes twitch.
    Should i continue playing this game or switch,
    because this is a serious problem and not a simple itch.
    Some bug abusing noob gets rich,

    Most class are pretty balanced. Archer's just arent that good against barbs. Duel in one thing it can go either way. Keeping your distacne is the key and using the skills that do magic damage. Other than that if they get close they will own you period. The just have to much HP to kill most of the time before they close in on you. Archers best targets are mages, clerics, and veno.

    Don't worry about killing barbs, there's five other class's that we are good at killing, including ourselves. b:chuckle

    actually later lvl barbs (sage to be exact) are almost impossible to kill by anyone in terms of 1 on 1 (pk or TW) so dont be dissapointed if archers cant kill them...cause everyone cant kill them 1 on 1....Huge load of HP + charm + the skill which makes them very tough....really impossible...

    but if u put it in duel, i guess archer got chance since charm wont tick ;p...

    Archer Vs barb is a strongly debateable topic .....

    The fact tht an archer cant kill a barb in a 1v1 is for sure. (if of same lvl and are high lvl). But in duel u have more chance to win as no heiro ticks. But it is also to be remebered that a barb also finds it hard to kill an archer.
    2 things are there.
    1. A semi hybrid built.
    2. Huge amount of dex.

    Semi hybrid built = a bit more hp still with a lot of dex.
    The huge dex = not much attacks fall on u.

    And the added speed on the archer makes it easy to kite. Unless u stnad and fight the barb, no barb can even touck the archer. He would be spending a lot of heiro just taking the attacks from the archer :P.

    <btw i have stood and fought a barb 1on1 and the barb missed me continously 10 times. But being a barb he had the final laugh (was too lazy to kite), not be4 i ticked his heiro atleast 5 times.>

    some how you will find at higher lvls the +50% acc ring frm fb79 gives barbs a real big boast in pvp

    zz i avoid 1v1 barbs my level, low 8x/high 7x good gear barbs hard enough. archers just dont have enough magic attacks to kill a barb before his heiro cools, heaven gets ice arrow which is alright but at 25 vigor but if i have to i'd hell fury crit crit and hope to get lucky

    89+ you can kill a barb if you crit all your metal skills...and triple spark at the same time so you can get 500/700% from weapon dmg. But honestly, I just ignore barbs my lvl in pvp. They usually won't use blood bath if they are alone and if they outnumber you greatly, might as well run, lol.

    It's not a bad fight.

    I personally beat a Barbarian who was one level above me. Not very impressive, but at least it related to the topic. XD

    Otherwise the fight can end either way, both classes do quite well in battle.

    Hehe, yeah archers do have trouble killing barbarians, but when you look at it, almost all classes do. I even took out a wizard 3 levels higher than me the other day with a thrid of my HP still left over. And as for archers, took one 5 levels above me out recently. It was a close match but I still won. Don't worry archers...you aren't the only ones b:chuckle

    i have no problem with archers +5 levels higher than me, i havent gone against an archer with sage/demon spark yet, although it would be interesting. i always have BB on, in every fight, even against mages and clerics and venos. TBH, if a archer demon sparks and i dont have misty rings, ill tiger form and book it for the 12 seconds.
