Lazy newbies?

Okay, so I have two characters, well, actually three, but the first one I abandoned for now, so I am currently playing two venos. (Okay in my mind they are sisters... The other one is AyelIobria.) Anyway, I have been playing since the end of November practically religiously and have gotten my main character up to level 48 as you can see on my avatar. I've recently acquired a taste for fashion and have developed a rather expensive obsession with it, so I started AyelIobria to use to farm and get low level DQ drops easier so I can sell them.
So anyway, last night, I'm playing as Ayel and fighting just south of City of the Lost. This other veno comes up and asked me if I know where a certain MOB was. Well, I haven't been paying attention to this particular location since I first started PW and I just couldn't remember. Not to leave her in the lurch, I said wait a minute and went and looked it up on the database. I got the location and the coordinates and gave them to the person. She said (I assume it was a she) "So, you aren't going to take me there then?" UGH! I then looked on the map and explained how to get there, you know, "follow the river here until to get to the next town and they'll be just south of the town", that kind of thing. She looked at me for a second and left. Not a thank you, not a "what do I do with these coordinates" etc. Nothing. Geez. Just "So, you aren't going to take me there?" Man, is that lazy or what? I was right in the middle of a quest and the darned things were literally just down the river. (I realized how close they were this morning after I had finished up the series of quests I was doing and finally got there.) You know, I know that folks want people to work together, but man, sometimes you can actually figure stuff out and do it on your own, you know? I was quite angry, honestly.
Anyone else have experiences like this?

i've made exactly the same experiences in all the games i played so far within 8 years. that's the reason why i usually do not talk to anyone ingame unless that person seems interesting to me, or cause i ran into that person a few times and he/she seemed nice from the way he/she behaved.
i noticed it's mostly people who barely speak english who are very demanding when they notice you are higher lvl.
i also love those people who just go like 'tema! Tema!!! TEMAAAA!!!!!' and then spam invite you, or the people who are like 'money plz!!! money!!!' and also followed by a spam of trade requests
(btw i love the fact that in this game no window pops up when someone sends a team/trade request!! )
in other games tho it even can kill you when they spam trade you if you're in a fight and the window pops up you cannot use your hotkeys unless you clicked the window away.. (talisman is the best example for that) so there i usually dropped those idiots if we weren't in a non-pk area or waited till i ran into them again in a pk free area.. some do learn from that, but others don't unfortunately..
PS: oh and thanks for the link! makes my life as noob in this game way easier xD i used to spend hours to find mob locations if it wasn't stated in the quest =_=.: Being able to read and think at the same time is an advantage :.0 -

Sure! No problem! I found that link here on the forums somewhere and it has been priceless to have access to!
My daughter and I play online games together all the time and we recently tried ROSE Online Evolution and the whole first hour we played this one guy kept asking each of us over and over if we were guys and after he established that we weren't he kept asking if we would marry him! Geez!0 -
Any time someone asks your RL gender and you haven't talked much or any before, it's some guy looking for someone to sleaze on, so the appropriate answer is "male", even if it's a lie. That will shut them up faster than any explanation that you're playing the game to have fun and not be hit on by strangers.0

LOL! i get that all the time that guys come up to me and tell me they love me or that they wanna marry me.
i used to get upset about it and pk them, but i found a better way.
even here on pw there was one guy telling me he loves me, and i was just like:
are you sure i am male?
his response was: a guy.. b:embarrassb:sad
kinda funny how stupid some guys are, but also girls i noticed.
i tend to play male chars if i can set them up sexy and handsome looking, same reasons why guys like to play female chars i guess , but yea i also get girls trying to hit on me.
i find it pretty poor if they have to do it this obviously lol
nothing against online relationships tho, this is how me and my husband started
[edit]
hehe kitty was faster with his reply than me xD but yea you are 100% right!.: Being able to read and think at the same time is an advantage :.0 -
I'm a guy. I just like cats.
No, really.
I just play a female character in game because my character is the one thing I have to look at constantly while playing -- so, you know, it may as well be pleasant on the eyes.0 -
gomen ne! *bows* my bad xD usually guys do not choose 'femalish' female names when playing a girl >_> at least only very few ones out of the several dozens i met maybe only 2 so far had names which made you think that's a girl..
most times you know by the names already that it's a guy playing a female char xD.: Being able to read and think at the same time is an advantage :.0 -
LOL! Lazy noobs- thats pretty common in most MMO's. In GW I always had issues with lazy ppl trying to get me to tank for em or go through quests with them and pwn everything just so they could get a "complete." It became pretty common in GW to sell ur talents to noobs- such as quest runs for a price, or running them from one place to another.
One thing I have noticed with PW though is that noobs are quick to start a new post on the forum rather than click the handy dandy little search button at the top of the page and find what they are looking for. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a low lvl in this game, but have played tons of MMO's in the past and its just not good etiquette to string along a million posts on the same topic. Anyways, thats my two cents!

IMO, there's no fun if everything is being shown to you. Funner to experience it yourself and explore.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

One thing I love about this game is that powerlevling does not work. People would always be begging for that, then we'd have a bunch of level 60+ characters that don't know the first thing about how to even play the game. (I've seen it on another game)Main characters
Celestial Sage Venomancer Zoe - 100
Sage Barbarian Malego - 910 -

I generally tell them that I wouldn't make their right hand jealous.0
