Apothocary Level 4...

I finally reached level 50, went to the Apothecary near Dreamweaver Port, totally missed the dialogue but I caught something about paying him, clicked too fast and the Gold Triangle above his head disappeared. I thought I had paid him so I went to the elder to learn the new skill but the number of items to make went up from thirty to forty-five. Started making new level3 pots, went to the Elder again, and the number didn't change, Can someone tell Me what exactly I did wrong. Thank you.

    Didn't realize you had to buy the book from him, thought he would take the money when you agreed and the book would be in inventory. Just went back to him and discovered that you do indeed have to buy the book from him.b:pleased
