Why do the staff insist on closing threads when it comes to topics that were intended to be open discussions? I understand that there are times where a thread needs to be closed for one reason or another, but closing a thread every single time it has a negative 'tone'?

Before the server launched, before the ticketing system, I had an issue with a staff member here that was not resolved through contacting the appropriate higher ups. When the IRC channel was active, we had staff members pop in from time to time and when we approached them with the subject they told us that we SHOULD make a topic on the forums detailing our issue to see if anyone else shared the same opinion - that perhaps if there was enough support for what was said, something might actually happen to solve the situation.

You have rules, sure. We have opinions. We'd like to share them. Today something occurred on Lost City that probably had the majority of the server thinking "What the f...?" and when it became obvious that nothing was going to be done to undo what happened, members of the community became outraged.

We want to see something done to change the outcome of this situation, we want to see something done to improve customer service, and sometimes we just want to be heard without being shunted off to some private channel just because you don't want to be embarrassed over it.

And if this post personally offends "Perfect World Entertainment" then you guys honestly need to re-evaluate how you expect people to behave when you don't even give your customers (paying and non-paying) the right to an honest opinion, to an open discussion, or even a little bit of respect.

starting to have flashbacks of pw-my gmsb:sweat
something goes wrong and everyone finds out, let's cover it up by closing any topics about it. Did the GM even take the items away?

Well, according to Korren the GM simply said not to do it again. I guess Korren can either confirm or deny if he/she will be allowed to keep the items but my money will be on the GM's taking no further action.

We need to have another GM meet and greet, if the items weren't taken away then i think we should all go bug harpy and tell gm "oops, i won't do it again"

lol gm warned that luring mob into town was bannable and it was proved that the mob was in the safe so y no ban? favoritism much?

No the GM did NOT take the items away, and showed no inclination to do so, merely said "we can't do that much in-game ;)"

Yukiko, please send me a detailed PM about any and all complaints against our staff members.

I will personally look into any issues brought up and seek out the proper resolution.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that we close threads as soon as the mood turns sour, but it is our intention to run a tightly moderated board. Threads are typically closed if they are spam-musubis, irrelevant, breaking down into flame/troll fests or if the topic is something that has already been raised discussed ad nauseam.

btw, if you ever see someone representing PWI on channels outside of our site and game in all likelihood they are not 'official' representatives of this company. we have a strict policy concerning our staff participating in venues outside of our official channels and we've encountered several occasions where folks were falsely claiming to be PWI employees on the likes of IRC, etc.
