Market Square Trading Areas / in addition to, or rather than individual player stores

Wandering around Etherblade is a nightmare with all the player shops filling all the room up so you can't see much of anything at all and don't at all care to ever look at player stores cause there are way too many of them.

What I propose are totem poles or the like where people can put in their items for trading. The added vantage is that players don't have to be online for their items to still be listed for sale.

Everyone would get an inventory space, on general shop totems, they would price and place items into the space, and the items would be searchable and instantly buyable in the same way that the acution system works.

You go to a town, click on a trading post and browse through user stores, or through item lists. You put stuff into the trading post, and you can log out rather than having to have your computer constantly on and connected, and still be able to sell/buy your stuff. The system could be set up so that you view the stores of those who are closest to your experience level first, then you could press an arrow to switch from one store to another.

Filling up towns such as Etherblade with teddy/panda bear icons making clutters up the screen and makes it hard to see where you want to go, see what NPCs are around, and is simply very frustrating.

How about they can just make the option to CHANGE the stalls? Cos the cat stall is pritty stupid to my opinion...

how about instead of just calling something ingame stupid without giving a reason, you give some productive critics with possible solutions.

i think the cat stalls are pretty good since they cause less lag when more shops are at one spot as if it would show the players with all their fancy shiny gear.
what would be nice tho, would be some sort of transportable stall, where you can put items in some stall inventory and then have a add over the char's head saying what he/she/it is selling, so wherever you currently are people can buy things from your stall just by right-clicking and choosing the right option.
i've seen it in some other game i used to play and it was pretty good and also caused less lag than those stalls everywhere.

i hate to double post, but for some reason it won't let me edit my post..
here what i have to say in addition:

the idea from seasnake is also pretty good. i've seen it working in several games pretty well, but it lacks that players can advertise their things and quickly change the rates if they see things get more/less expensive so they can raise their selling chances.

PS: i always get the error message:
No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator

and when i click the ling to email the admin i get:
Sorry. The email function has been disabled by the administrator.

might be also an idea having that fixed..

I think this sound cool but maybe they should have a storefront that you can purchase. Like it is your store, and you can put items for sale in it like your cat store. When purchase you select a location in the enormas city. I mean everyone is all bunched up there and the city is huge. It would be like you kind of can own a piece of the game. There could be different styles of stores such a vender cart or a stand or a store with a merchant. This totem idea is just like the auction house to me. Yeah this would be a lot of work, but it would make this game that much better than all the other mmo's.
