I just came here looking for similar answers

the boutique shows items in Gold or Silver
the site says 'charge your zen'

is there a correlation? is a zen = to something in gold/silver?

    Hello,

The virtual currency of Perfect World Entertainment is ZEN which is purchased with real money. When you transfer your ZEN to one of our games, it translates in game as gold and silver. It is $1 for 100 ZEN which is the same as 1 gold in game. Think of 1 silver as $0.01 (or one cent) for an easy conversion.

ahhh, thank you, so in essence, it's $1 (US) for 1 Gold at the boutique

The Boutique/Item Shop is the yellow star at the bottom of the minimap ("o" key).

There's a guide on how to charge and transfer zen here. Once zen is successfully transfered to a server, it is automatically converted to Gold and Silver.
