Lag?

Okay I live in Lithuania in Europe and I managed that I am feeling lag. But one thing I don't understand that the ping is ~230 and the game is a little SLOW... Is the ~230 ping laggy or what? Or maybe servers are too far away from europe or whatever?

What I am thinking lag?

When I press a skill I need to wait 1-2 seconds till it's launched, sometimes I am freezing and being returned back to a position I was a second ago.. :C

I have a good net: 20Mbps in and 2Mbps out in anywhere.

So what's the problem?

The servers are in the United States (I assume but can not confirm that they are on the West Coast). A 230 millisecond ping is a bit longer than I'd find optimal, but it's a better connection than you can find in a lot of rural areas even inside the U.S.

The rubberbanding is unusual for that level of latency. Do you have a multicore system? If you have an Intel multicore computer, please use this solution. If you're running an AMD multicore system, please use the AMD optimizer.

I'd suggest looking at your local network. If you're using a wireless connection, these are known for dropping packets even with a good signal strength, and might explain your delays. Switching to a wired connection may help.

Thanks for your reply. I am using wired connection,as my friend does, but we can feel that lags event when talking to NPC it can take up to 3 secs, but ping is stabile(i don't know if it's correct) ~230ms. When I am PvPing i am experiencing extreme lags. I will try the multicore solution. Stay tuned.

Still the multicore optimization has no effect, even the ticks won't disappear I think I am banished to be lagged! :C

    Hey.

Well, i dont have the same problem, even though my ping is also 150-180.
I think this is because of the servers being located in US, even though, if i connect to a US server through another game (for example Battlefield 2142) the ping tops at 100-120, no matter what coast it is on.

So well, i think we here in europe are banished to lagg until we get a server of our own :p

Do you know what your operating system, video card, processor speed, and amount of RAM is?

same issue... my ping appears to be 180ms as well but have terrible lag effects at times, already have the dual core optimizer installed. I've already posted more details under "lag" thread.

    specs
    amd 64 x2 5600+
    3Gb ram
    9800GTX+ 512mb
OS win xp home 32 bit

Might also test it on same machine using XP pro 64 bit or vista 64bit see if that makes a difference
