veromancer starting pet help

i want a pet to tank and do a lot of damage while doing it i havent started yet but i want to kno what pet to use

    For a low budget, use the starting pets (scorpion or wolf) and at level 17 or 18 get a golem. Then you are pretty much set for quite some time.

    Wait... what do you mean about golems? And where do u find them? Are the golems those huge stone block thingys that are malamites or something?

    Golems can be found around the volcanic purgatory north of Etherblade.
