Need some help..

Why is it that every time I attack Riptide Tortoises they regain their health faster then I can attack? Obviously I'm new to the game so any help is appreciated. Thanks

    the mobs heals itself because it cant reach you (u're not in the water or maybe flying) try to swim and attack again, it'll work ^^

    np, the point is the mobs has to be able to reach you, that way the wont heal ^^
    its a kind of protection to prevent people doing 'invincible' grinding (flying and attacking physical ground mob etc so they wont be able to hit u) i guess
