Plz remove em...they create too much lag in West Aurcho...Y even have em if we ALSO have the Auction house....I know its probaly a staple for PWI but really we dont really need them...

    cat shops allow people to find what they need MUCH faster then the AH.

    AH asks a tax, cat shop allows people to go afk while selling + everything in AH would mean everyone is sitting near an AH and the lag will be concentrated there. there is an anti lag trick tough, there is a button on the top of your character with 3 arrows, it lowers your grafics to get a beter connection aka no lag. (unless your pc is worthless)

    This. Also, auction house is about bidding. You have a set price in Consignment shops, so if you buy something, it's yours. If you want an item from the auction house (excluding buyout prices), you have to bid, hope no one outbids you, and wait til the time's up and you receive the item.

    I would love to see cat shops disappear and have the Auction house only. 500 coin to put something up is not that big of a deal at all but maybe it could be made that you could put multiple items up at once and the fee would go up according to how many types of items you put up. What I mean is say that the base fee is 500 coin for putting one type of item up. If you put another different type of item up, the fee goes up to 600 coin. It would keep going up slightly but not as much as 500 coin per item. Then just use the search function to look for what you are wanting. Just a thought anyways. I just think having all those ugly pink and beige looking cartoon cats all over the place lagging towns out is ridiculous in any game, not just this one and having everything in one location in a list would be easier and faster to look for I would think. More auction NPCs could also be placed in more towns as well.

    aucation house -> bidding,24 hours max period + wait for period to end, fee,...

    cat shop -> direct sell, money direct in pocket, endless period, ability to offer a price for an item, shows player ....

    I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to allow a direct sale in the auction house or you could just also put the buyout price the same as the starting bid price. Anyways though, it's just a thought. Nothing is going to change.

    I like the little cat shops! It would be ok to turn off cat shops, as in there is a button that will turn off the cat shops, so YOU cannot see any of them

    I like the cat shops, though I wish they stayed if you log off...
    The cat shops really do need to leave west archosaur, though.
    I've seen my computer move 2 frames a minute when I get close by (I'm really serious here).
    It's not like anyone actually bothers buying anything from them (at least I don't).

    I buy stuff from the cat shops.

    Also, maybe it's your pc because i have an HP Touchscreen and I have NO lag at ALL.

    Sometimes I get alot of lag, but not all the time. I like the cat shops and it should not be removed. It's a great way to sell and buy stuff that you cant get normal stores.

    why not just limit the number of cat shops per area? that way it spreads thro archo and less lag in the western side

    They ruin the game for many people but they are useful.
    They should not be allowed to be put near other NPC's such as bankers.
    I agree there should be some limit to each area so there is an even spread or a button to turn them off.

    I think catshops contribute enormously to trade, which is a very important part of the game. While I certainy sympathize with the frustation people experiencing serious lag issues must feel, and would very much support any measures taken to resolve these, one should also consider this is an unavoidable factor in dealing with heavy traffic areas such as west arch. lvls 20s and 30s cannot avoid the place, while higher lvls must at least visit Hou Jhensi every time they log in. This is however what makes it such a great place to trade, and ask questions and look for help.

    Westie is very much like the downtown area of many big cities, and as much as many people do also complaint about these, it does add some special and vibrant quality which I would hate to see disapear from the game. Sure, you get traffic jams, get to hear a lot of catcalls and cursing and every once in a while get scammed just as you thought you were getting a good deal, but that's life. And you don

    I agree. I cringe when I get there and bounce my way out. I NEVER buy anything because it takes too long. I'd rather get what I want elsewhere without all the lag, even if that means paying more.

    Does your best performance toggle help you with your lag?

    Also, I highly recommend that you use shift clicks on NPCs. This helps when you want to visit the banker in West Archosaur and also helps when you want to shoot that monster instead of your blademaster or beastman squad mate. (Unfortunately, shift click does not help when a veno's pet tanks for you.)

    Edit: also the auction house does not work for some kinds of sales. Some things can only be sold through consignment shops (like christmas cards). And other things can be sold but people rarely know how to buy them (like sand stone).

    NOT EVERYONE IS RICH b:angry I also want catshop removed from the game and make a AH button like the boutique one also make a buy option on AH house and change its name to selling house it would be a nice solution to the LAG. But then the lag comes to mail box where things that you buy at AH go.Make that things to appear instantly on your inventory ;)

    geez, was that so long ago already? way to make me feel REALLY old.

    turg14, quit necroing. catshops have a good reason and purpose in game, they're complementary to the AH and not superfluous. there's methods of merchanting you can only use with one and not the other, which means they're both useful in-game. moreover, catshops do not cause lag --- huge numbers of players in an area cause lag.
