New Year Resolution - Leaving PWI

Goodbye nubnubs,

As the clock ticks into yet another new year, I have made the choice to quit Perfect World. This is not a spontaneous decision but I have decided to keep this plan undisclosed until around Christmas. At first my guildmates thought I was joking because just how could I leave something I have invested so much time into?

Well the choice was easy to be honest. Perfect World was something I picked up while I was bored during my semester off. Originally I was planning to bag pack around the world during the time off of college but I scratched that out when I found Perfect World. But eitherway, it was intended to be a temporary stress reliever and I am glad I can keep my own promise by quitting today.

Aiming to be a perfect student, gambling like a 'whale' in a casino, going out all day like a party animal, I am proud to say that among the many things I have experienced, I can say that during a brief few months, I was an avid gamer. Guess thats another goal crossed from my list.

My next step? Well I am off to finish my last two years of college and prepare for Stanford MBA. My current car lease is up in around a month so I am certainly looking forward to a new M6. I will most likely spend alot of my free time hitting the tracks and tuning my new toy. Besides school and that, I will probably get in touch with the friends I have neglected for the past three months, haha.

Just a few last notes before I go. I have met many interesting personalities during my brief stay but there are a few that I would particularly like to mention.

Midnight - Great person. Mature, unselfish and has a tremendous team spirit. Certainly my role model in Conqueror.

Mezzy - Aww, super sweet nubnub. Can't forget your lovely voice and great singing.

PandaLord - LUUUUIS! Congratulations on getting your GX. Loved my time doing HH and PKing with you. Now go **** faces.

Daikoku - "Ah, my pet!" Hehe, craziest guild leader I have met. Although I won't trade you for anyone else to be GM ^^. Go hit 99!!

Elayne - Many thanks for farming half of my GX for me. Whether you or Daikoku hit 99 first, I will be cheering for both of you.

Haiz - Oh man, my guild adversary. I enjoyed when we poked fun at each other. Now hit 150k damage on a mob and make me proud!

Envy & Pnut - Without you guys, I think Conqueror would lose have of its fun. Its a shame I wouldn't have much time to talk smack with you guys on vent anymore.

GriminflameZ - Haha, my nemesis. I am sure our competition against each other helped to motivate each other to achieve more in the game. Thanks for the drive you gave me to strive to be among the elite of this game.

warmachine & n0ob & specgoesemo & Pandora - Loved the trash talking. Whats a game without drama? I hope there is no hard feelings and we can just laugh everything off as a joke. Won't you guys miss me as a target to troll with? I know I would.

To of my Conqueror Guild - The best decision I have made in this game is join you guys. I pretty much liked everyone in the guild besides Midnight for crafting 2 sockets gear all the time!!! Can't believe I am saying goodbye to all of you. I want to see the world map red soon! But hey, I have full confidence that we won't turn into another Warlord and abuse our power. Conqueror for life ^^

All of the friends I didn't mention - thanks to everyone who have helped and spent time progressing through the game with me. A MMORPG is only as fun as its community and as a whole, I am very satisfied with whom I have encountered during my stay. Best of wishes and happy gaming!

    No hard feelings it's a game after all. Will definitely miss lighting you up in world chat... now I'll have to find someone new to troll with oh well, enjoy your life.

    I will be here for this week's war but Saturday night really isn't a convenient time if I want to get my social life back.

    A warrior, no matter how well geared, is still a warrior. A level 80 warrior should be able to stun just as well as a level 92 in TW. I doubt I'd be missed.

    So many people ask me that.

    Most likely when I don't even bother to attend TW anymore, I will give them to guild mates. But it is also possible that I will go around PK without dolls and drop the stuff thats not auto bound for laughs and giggles.

    I won't go low to the point to say that you failed or that you're being emo like you did to me when I took a week off of the game but it did seems kinda odd that you quit so soon after spending a lot of money on your new gear. I guess money isn't worth anything or much to you, anyhow have fun and good luck this week-end.

    I always try to set myself a deadline on things like this. I am someone who have pretty bad self control so if I don't say "look this is the bottom line", I might do something really stupid.

    Really its just like gambling. Once I have lost a certain amount of money, I'd know its time to quit or things might get ugly.

    I'd say I am kind of selfish not to tell others of my plan when I have made up my mind to quit on this day a long time ago but I didn't want others to treat me differently if they knew I'd be leaving. To be honest, when I started playing, I thought by 2009, I'd have reached end game but perfect world is certainly more time consuming than I thought it would be. I'd have wanted hh99 or CV but really, reaching 92 is already satisfactory to me. The thing is to have fun and generally I have achieved that goal although it did get a bit boring towards the end when leveling stopped.

    The reason I chose this time to quit is because

    -New year, new priorities.

    -Semester starts very soon. Must adjust myself to prepare for coursework again.

    -Parents won't be pleased if I 24/7 games as my life.

    -This is not the life I want. I can temporarily deal with it but I'd rather not let myself revolve around gaming all day long.

    Two sparks + dragon. I did hit xmx 12k before without the 2 spark fury so 9k on a tiger form WB shouldn't be out of the question.

    But nah, if there are pots used in that duel, the effects would show up right under my name. Although critical + berserk in 1 hit while I casted double fury dragon is as lucky as it gets b:chuckle

    Now that's the respect I've been waiting to see ^^ The flaming won't be the same with out ya. Tbh, I expected more flame in your good bye but you never fail to surprise me. Thanks for the challenges in PvP, glad to see a worthy adversary. Good luck with the rest of your life ^^

    Although I can't say the same because 1 shotting you happened so often but I would still like to thank you for the entertainment you provided.
