Having a Dull Christmas?

Well, I sure am. Here's the story:
I had to endure a 4-ish hour drive to the house where my stepmother's sister lives and then get ready to go to a midnight church mass right after. Then, after I stayed up until about 4 am and then went to bed, then woke up a couple of hours later to go to a church mass again. After, a bunch of people came (all who I barely know, since they are not exactly my blood-family) and watched all of the little children receive about 2 garbage bags worth of presents (where I felt a SLIGHT tinge of jealousy) to open and received nothing (this is where I figure out that no one got me anything). And here I am on the computer writing this to VENT!! AND, worst of all, I can't play PW for about 2 more days because I cannot download it and have to wait until I endure another 4-ish hour (maybe longer) drive to get back to my house and play.

Well, how was yours?

Mine was somewhat dull, too much family time.

Ehh mine was ok but still lacking. Since my parents got divorced and my mom remarried this year the fun Christmas I knew went down the drain. Both of my parents planned a Christmas dinner at the same time. I went to my mom's dinner first at 7:00pm and the only people there were me, my mom, my grandmother and my stepfather. My aunt and her husband didn't even go because they had other plans. It was soooo dreadfully booooringb:cry and the food wasn't superb either. Later about 9:00pm, after my mom's dinner was done I went to my dad's; I was looking towards it because all of my family members from his side were there and it's always full of laughter and music. After 30min after I arrived everyone left because everyone got there at 6:00pm, all the food was gone or already stored in the fridge so I spent the rest of the night helping clean upb:sad. Once I got home I made brownies for Santa, its a tradition that, although Santa might not exist as we think he does, I still continue the tradition. There were no suprises at all concerning gifts since my parrents called me to check if I liked the present they were buying. I made small acrylic paintings for everyone for Christmas and I've spent all my vacation time doing them only not to be apreciated by most of them. I made nature theme landscapes; a sunset sky, the sky at noon, the morning sky, a night sky with the Star of Bethlehem (all nature paintings with dancing Sylphs in the clouds), and a painting with 3 angels called Faith (blue) Hope (white) and Charity (pink). Although Christmas kinda sucked this year I have been reflecting a lot on Christmas and have now gotten a new (positive) understanding of the celebration.b:victory

Now since New Year's Eve aproaches I still have the same problem. My mom is going to my stepfather's parents houseb:shocked and my dad is going to his girfriend's parents house, both places for me are just like going to a dentist to get a root canal and I guess I will be alone since New Year's Eve is supposed to be spent with friends and/or family and nobody else planned anything. Oh well, I must keep a positive attitude to welcome the arrival of the New Year Spirit.

And now faith, hope, and charity remain; but the greatest of these is charity.
