So we have to pay OUR money to get a Super inventory stone, that sucks, how much would I have to pay somebody in coins to get me one?

Wow, in coins? I'd say around 1,5-1,6 mill. Well, that's what it'd go for on Lost City (130k~ / gold).

    Oh...
Looks like my inventory is staying at the level it is. I am not paying that many coins as... I don't have it... I am NOT using the cash shop as I don't feel right using my money on a GAME (that is promoted as a FREE game). Groan, I took the quests from the Inventory Master, for my Bank, Pet bag and Inventory to be expanded, but I need super stones, which as is proven can be got from the Cash shop, which I don't use. This is unfair to the people who want to do this like me, unless people want to sell me those stones for a small amount of coins (which they won't) looks like those quests will never get done, and I'll never have an expanded invent, pet bag or bank. End rant!

there are quest to expand bank twice , expan pet storage 2+? times with drops
its promoted as a FREE game.....ya...you thought this game was part of a charity? welcome to the internet , do they give out games for free at computer stores =?
expanding a bank/storage is not unfair, dragon orbs, charms during wars, stuff like that is unfair

as a p.s i havent spent anything on this game or received gold from anyone, but if you are gonna rant at least get facts right

apparently according to the announcements, it was possible to get the super inventory stone and super safe stone if you get the quest from the invetory master and go into any Level 19 dungeon (this is posted under Thanksgiving Quest/Black Friday Sale). There was nothing in the announcement about the quest being a limited time only. I know the sale only went on for a week, but I was hoping the quest went on at least through christmas...

I got the quest and went to level 19 dungeon and found nothing.. so if anybody could shed some light on this that would be great.

I understand how you feel, but I think of this game's "free to play" aspect differently from you.

Here, I do not have to pay rent, to play my character. So I can play, or not, without having to feel guilty. And if I buy something with gold, well... yes, I have spent money on something intangible, so my purchases have to stay within my entertainment budget. But that's ok with me!

(Also, I really admire people that bought and used health charms and play pvp with cash shop guardians or do stuff that I would hate to do! I might not actually want to be playing with them, because in my opinion they do not understand how to have fun -- i do not like pvp very much. But they have been funding my funs!)

    b:thanks

But, er... I wish we had bigger inventories. Or maybe a clothes closet for cash shop items so I could acquire clothes and keep them without having to use up my precious inventory and safe space! But that might drive up their in-game cost?

So I think I agree with your rant, even if I disagree with you about your points you made in your rant.

But am I even making sense?

    b:puzzled

I don't think you read the announcement quite right. The Thanksgiving quest was 30,000 exp. After you got it, you had to visit the inventory master, then visit the FB19 dungeon. That's it.

Next item on their list was that super safe/inventory/cage stones were on sale. There was no quest for them.

When said store advertises said game is free, yes I do.

It's common these days for these little MMO type games though. To bait players advertisement about their game everywhere. Selling it as "free" and sometimes even "completely free!" Once you get in the game though, it's anything BUT free. That is unless you don't mind playing with the crappiest armor or not being able to advance past a certain low level cap until you pay for more.

I consider this blatant false advertising. Perfect World though is a lesser example of this. The stuff they want you to pay for doesn't affect the gameplay as much as some other games I've seen.

Said stores typically DO give Free games *
    ... ... ... ... ...
    * with the purchase of merchandise over $500

Nothing in this world is both free and legal at the same time...except your mother's love ;) And even for that "Mother's Day" got us buying presents! Heh :P

Anyhow, this IS a free game. That is, you do not need to pay anything in order to play and enjoy this level. They do not even impose a level cap on free players. The only things they ask for payment are optional items, without which you can still fully enjoy the game. They even allow paying players to sell cash-shop items for ingame gold! (some games don't, with arguable comments about how it affects the ingame economy).

You don't need to spend a penny on this game, to have good armor and raise in level. You just have to put some effort, and time into it. I've been here for 4 months or less. I have a hercules, the fastest air mount, and always have a charm, and exp scroll active when grinding. I have never spent any money on the game.

I probably average around 25 hours a week. So more time than most, but not an extremly high amount of time either. You just have to think of best ways to make money, Then do it. If you have perminent connection, then there is no excuse to not have at least enough money to buy basic necessities. Play for a few hours, then sell Items in cash shop for profit until you play again. If you can't leave game on all the time, your job is much harder. But still not extremly difficult. Just grind out the levels and money will eventualy start coming in faster.

I don't think grinding makes it ok for games that advertise themselves as being free and then charge money for stuff. Then again this game seems to be nothing but grinding.

I'm going to open a restaurant where people can eat for free. The free food will be **** compared to what's on the premium menu though. If you want the good food you'll have to pay for it or grind for 3 weeks and bring me 300 million dandelion pedals or something equally as ridiculous. Since this kind of thing is ok here, I better see you in my restaurant every day.

I also think it's even more dirty and underhanded that I can't see how much of my real money it's going to cost me to buy things before having wasted enough time on the game to get a level 10 character. That's a lot of grinding! I'm level 8 and I'm already having trouble finding quests to do.

Honestly, I don't see a problem on the grinding part. Since, I signed off to get entretained by killing mobs with other players.

Sometimes the amount of mobs is too much but guess what? if the amount was shorter the game would be over quickly. and you can always call friends to help you killing mobs, trading items, ect.

At the same time, developers must keep a balance with cash shop items. They must make them appear like an advantage for cash shop people but at the same time allowing free users to think they can counter by grinding.

The game need both types of players to keep itself running.

The balance is currently really good IMO.

Of course, this is great on PVE.

I am NOT ranting about freee game and all that jazz, but..

When you see the pet manager( I started in Etherblade City) it does not say go to the store and buy the cage( or even the stone. They both told me to FIND the pet cage and the super inventory stone, making me think this a an average quest requiring no purchase. This mislead me for about a month before I gave up and came in the forums to find out where they were.

So, it might be less confusing if the wording was changed to "buy" instead of "find". Just a suggestion.

I don't know if the other pet managers or bankers say this for the quest, haven't really payed attention to them as I came from that city and stick to it for my primary needs, less confusing that way.

You can still get these things with coins/trading. You can buy gold at auction with coins and buy the items you want with god (I have done it).

You can also pay directly in coins with other players.

I do admit is confusing (since I got confused too, lol)but is similar with other quests in which you have to get mats or items. In those you have the option to grind/farm for them or just buy them from other players.

This is a free game. Freeloaders like you never have to pay a dime. You want the luxuries others have then you can either grind and pay coins or open your wallet.

    Uhm.....
If I were homeless, or just unemployed, with little financial resources(as is my case) - I "DO" have crappy food compared to those with the luxury of buying Tender steak or Take out every day!

    Get over it, My GOD!

Or, go pay $60 for a Game and a monthly fee in order to use that software you already paid for!

In life, You get what you pay for --- in everything you do.

I found PWI after discovering the ongoing expenses required to play another game that I was interested in, needless to say my interest in that other game came to an abrupt halt!

Quit your whining and start focusing on making do with the options available to you.

Holy ****...The people that make PWI available to you for free, have uncountable hours and expense involved in doing so.... Would "YOU" lay out unlimited resources, to thousands of strangers for FREE?

Just by your whining attitude I KNOW what the answer is!!

Get a grip....PWI provides reasonable options for all walks of life.

    End of MY rant!

BTW... Hamburger helper and Mac n cheese really aren't that bad, although steak WOULD BE NICE once in a while!!

Is that the same as the super inventory stoe that was being discussed about or is it something different? Can someone help me out here please?b:sad

ok, lets look at this with a bit of logic. To make a game, it takes money. To keep servers running, it takes money. To update said game takes money. PWI offers you a free game yes, but in order to keep said game running they HAVE to make money somehow. By putting things like the cash shop in the game they ensure that everyone still gets to play a free game, while those who WANT to pay can to help support the free gamers. If this is really thought of as unfair, you need to turn off the game right now, walk out side and into traffic. C'mon people, I know alot of children play this game, but the ones who are at least 16+ need to get a life and stop whining about a GAME. End of MY rant.

Well, I just started playing last week and I'm finding it to be an enjoyable game. I played WoW for awhile and then stopped without ceasing payment for I dunno, like 6 months or more. (I shiver to think, really it could have been a year or longer.) Since that travesty, I've forbid myself from playing games that have a monthly cost. I just don't see the benefits for playing a game that never stops charging you to play it...however tempting it is sometimes.

What people are stating above is true. Very little in the world(especially in the world of tech) is free. This game offers more than most I've found out there so far. I'm comfortable paying money for a few nice benes (such as good inventory) but will do what I can to go without or just make up the difference with extra in-game grinding.

Have you seen Wizard 101? Mostly geared for children, it's actually quite fun until you realize that if you want to actually experience the game beyond the starting city you have to pay. All, in all you can go everywhere in game(I think) for about $80.00. That, in itself is a mighty expensive game.

And to the person above who is having a terrible time with money, grinding and finding quests at LEVEL 8!?! I say your full of it. I've been playing this game for less than a week - I'm talking 4-5 days and only a few hours most of those days. I'm level 13. Have plenty of quests all the time. And $70,000 in-game coins. I know that won't buy me anything impressive in this game economy yet but I don't how one cannot make money easily in this game. One of those nights I took my level 10 or so char, went grinding level 1 monsters for 4-5 hours and took $12,000 in limestone alone not counting all the other money gained. It's really really easy. And I haven't paid a dime.

I'm doing the bank quest for that higher inventory and I'm interested in how much in-game coin a super inventory stone goes for???

    Race you to it.

You don't even have to have a credit card...you can get a game card for the price of a large pizza, and get both stones from the shop.

Free to play means the basic game. You want the frills, it costs some money, or the equivalent of ingame currency.

The game can be played with normal bank, inventory and pet cage. Bank and pet cage can be quested larger. If you want the shortcut, it costs money. It means maybe you can hunt all day without having to run to town to sell and bank because you are full up.

I think the key is, only get from the cash shop things that are important to you. Large bank, inventory and pet cage are pretty important to me. Miniskirts and vanity items, not important.
