Which skills arn't worth the time and which skills are worth leaving at level 1?

    After looking through the skill list. I think it would be cool to have a winged attack archer. The skills I have now are Frost Arrow, Knockback Arrow, Winded Shell. My next lvl I am getting Winged Pledge.

    So what I am thinking is keep them away for as long as possible then beat the **** out of them with your wings when they get to close. Think that would be cool

    Max take aim, flame arrow, frost arrow, wing shell and knockback arrow ASAP.

    Knockback maxing is really a waste of Spirit! As you need to concentrate later on only a few skills and the kb-distance of this Skill isnt raising..

    I maxed Quickshot, Take Aim, Frost, Flame, Stun and the passive ones so far. (dont max flight mastery when panning to use other than natural wings and wanna use acceleration)
    Quickshot is a fast dps skill, which becomes handy when optimizimg your combo damage output for low mana use.
    Take Aim is %-tage based damage, which only a few archer skills has and so the damage of this skill raises with level!
    Frost and Aim low are nice enemy slowers in PvP. Frost used b4 kb prevent most enemys from even hit you..
    Flame is a big damage boost! except vs. fire mobs. use it!

    The metal based skills are mainly good for pvp vs melee attackers. As you know your damage halfs, when enemys comes in you minimum range, this isnt the case for the metal skills, which makes them first choise if you wanna play on lost or pvp/TW specialized!

    Winged shell is only good for ginding or when you have decent vit/HP Stones also in PvP. When you are pure dex build (str=eq) you have so low HP, that the 3 secs casttime will kill you in TW :) But for grinding its very useful, as it recovers MP and saves HPots.

    another great skill for late game is the sep arrow: you debuff bosses HP for up to 20% when i remember right. This saves a lot of time at TT/FB Bosses! What other skill saves 15 Minutes at a boss fight?!

    You have right. Maxing knockback arrow is a waste of SP. My mistake. You should max it at lvls 70+ 80+ ... if u have extra SP.

    quickshot becomes pretty weak later on in the game, and winged shell takes a while to recover mp, so it's probably faster just to meditate. It's especially useless if you're a full dex build, I suppose it's fine if you're a hybrid.
    Max frost though, it costs little mana and it slows the opponent.

    Winged shell is invaluable when u fight ranged mobs. I do this - do the shell - > take aim - > normal attack until it hits me (the shell absorbs near 80 - 90 % of the dmg taken) - > knock arrow - > normal arrows or thunder.. it depends. And when I am killing ranged mobs this way I save 1. my mana points (my shell regenerates the mp) 2. my hp (the shell absorbs the dmg) 3. Money (don't need any pots) 3. time (don't medidate very often).
    In my opinion - this is the greatest way to fight mobs with ranged attacks (until lvl 29, of course...later maybe it won't work). b:pleased

    And, of course, when u want to retreat and save yourself- this is the best option (and flying). I think that this skill is for pure agility archers.

    if you realize this tactic you will have no reliance on cash shop and spending a lot on pots, hence you can focus on a great weapon and make life even easier and your grind will be pure profit :]

    personally i did not realize the great power that winged shell is in reducing potion usage till quite late on

    I guess I wasn't thinking about ranged mobs, so I guess you're right about that. The only real problem I have with it now is the chi cost...45 is quite a lot in my opinion. It really only heals enough mp for 1 extra attack, too.

    is quickshot worth maxing at all? cos the damage is seriously quite low
